“Full House” star Candace Cameron Bure shared the 40th anniversary of New Kids on the Block’s self-titled Debut album with a loving Instagram post. She posted a heartfelt tribute celebrating the band’s legacy, sharing throwback photos and expressing her admiration for the group that helped define a generation of pop music.
“On this day in ‘86, with the release of their first album, NKOTB was born, and the world was blessed,” Cameron Bure wrote.
The slideshow consisted of a series of then and now photos of the actress with NKOTB member, Joey McIntyre. It demonstrated the love the actress has had for the band for four decades.
The band members did not appear on the original ABC series “Full House,” which ran from 1987 through 1995. However, the band did star in an episode of Season 2 of Netflix’s “Fuller House” in an episode titled “New Kids in the House,” which aired in 2016.
The band was hired to surprise Cameron Bure’s character, DJ Tanner, for her birthday. They then performed their greatest hits.
Jordan Knight, Jonathan Knight, Joey McIntyre, and Danny Wood appeared on the series. Donnie Wahlberg appeared via FaceTime.
