Actor Greg Kinnear made a rare appearance on Monday night at the 2026 Gotham TV Awards.

The 62-year-old Oscar nominee hit the red carpet, looking sharp in a charcoal suit with a navy blue shirt and black tie. Black shoes rounded out the look the actor sported on the red carpet ahead of his appearance on the stage.

During the ceremony, Kinnear presented another acclaimed actor, Michelle Pfeiffer, with the first of a series of tribute awards.

The Hollywood Reporter quoted Greg Kinnear upon presenting the award, calling Pfeiffer “the definition of cool” and “the gold standard.”

The 3rd Annual Gotham Television Awards took place at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City. An A-list crew of celebrities came out for the event, honoring the best in television. Categories included Breakthrough Comedy Series, Breakthrough Drama Series, as well as individual awards for Outstanding Lead and Supporting Performance in Comedy and Drama Series, among other categories.

Greg Kinnear Taking Over the Television Screen with New Hit Series

Greg Kinnear has been hitting the red carpet and awards circuit as he looks to promote his new series, Margo’s Got Money Troubles. The comedy series has been a hit on Apple TV+, drawing significant attention across the board.

The show stars Kinnear alongside Pfeiffer. The two heavyweight costars have dazzled fans with their on-screen romance. Kinnear’s character appears deeply involved romantically with Pfeiffer’s character, creating an interesting level of subtext within the overall argument of the series.

The show centers on Margo Millet, played by Elle Fanning, who turns to OnlyFans to support herself financially. Pfeiffer plays Fanning’s mother on the show, leading to an interesting dynamic.

Overall, the show has gotten largely positive reviews, leading to a commitment for a second season. As such, fans will be seeing more of Greg Kinnear in the coming months.

Apple TV Has Been Good to Kinnear

Kinnear’s most recent foray into Apple TV+ features is just another feather in his cap. One of his previous projects, Smoke, was a widely acknowledged success on the streaming platform.

In Smoke, Greg Kinnear plays a fire chief caught in the middle of a wave of arson incidents. The show, based on the crimes of John Leonard Orr, ran for one season, totaling nine episodes.

While Kinnear wasn’t necessarily one of the leads in the show, his performance drew mostly positive press.

Another Greg Kinnear hit on Apple TV+ was the film Off the Grid. In the 2025 movie, Kinnear stars alongside Josh Duhamel, in which two scientists go into hiding in hopes of saving a secret energy project from falling into the wrong hands. The film also received solid marks from critics.

Given the recent streak of solid hits, fans should expect to see more of Greg Kinnear in upcoming projects. Even at 62, he’s still going strong and not showing any signs of slowing down.

Kinnear’s current project, Margo’s Got Money Troubles, premiered on April 15, 2026. There has been no official release date announced for the second season. It will likely premiere at some point in 2027.
