The first level of Super Mario Bros. gets a modern pixelated reboot with some extra gore for added effect. I gotta say, the blood and guts add a whole new degree of satisfaction to smashing goombas. It’s been a few years since Mario really brought something new to the table, and while a rehash of the original game isn’t exactly new, this definitely looks a little more appealing than another Mario Kart. Make it happen, Nintendo.
