Hallmark’s Nikki DeLoach, 46, shared a poignant statement on her Instagram, reminding herself and others about how powerful kindness is. While she admitted that she is still learning how to be her most authentic self, standing in truth and light, DeLoach spoke with conviction, inspiring many of her fans.
“Strong back, soft heart,” DeLoach wrote in the caption of a photo of her sitting mountainside. “A daily reminder to myself, especially in these times, of how to move through the world.”

“For me, these four words mean carrying responsibility with courage and endurance, while treating people with kindness and grace,” she continued. “It means strength without cruelty and compassion without betrayal of self. It means standing firm in my convictions, while staying tender towards people. It means shouldering hard things – like doing the right thing and speaking truth when it’s not popular – while allowing the heart to be shaped by Christ – merciful, humble and empathetic.”
DeLoach emphasized the importance of standing up for oneself and others to create a world strong enough for our friends, family and neighbors. “This is a narrow road and I’m still learning how to walk it. But what I know for sure is that the world doesn’t need more hardness,” she wrote. “It needs people willing to do the hard things while remembering their humanity and the humanity of every living soul. Because the world will not become a better place by doing nothing. It will take all of us. Strong backs.”

DeLoach often shares the cry of her heart in her many meaningful Instagram posts, where she writes messages full of wisdom and hope. She is also a strong advocate for dementia and Alzheimer’s care after experiencing her father’s battle with Pick’s Disease, a rare progressive neurodegenerative disease similar to Alzheimer’s. While being a spokesperson for Mind What Matters, a nonprofit in support of family caregivers, she is also on the Board of Trustees for the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, where her son Bennett received life-saving care for his rare congenital heart defects, according to her Instagram bio.
