Eleven months after proposing to his girlfriend of 11 years during one of his jam-packed concerts, country star Chayce Beckham is a married man. The season 19 “American Idol” winner and Ashley Britt revealed in a joint social media post on September 24, 2025, that they had tied the knot in Vegas.
Set to the tune of Stevie Wonder’s “Signed, Sealed, Delivered,” the newlyweds posted a black-and-white video, taken from the backseat of a convertible, of Beckham and his bride cruising down the Vegas Strip as they held hands. They simply captioned the video, “Mr. & Mrs. Beckham.”
Chayce Beckham Says He & His New Wife Always Wanted to Be Married by Elvis
Though Beckham has kept his personal life fairly quiet while his star has continued to rise, he staged a very public proposal that Ashley and his fans couldn’t forget on October 24, 2024. The “23” singer got down on his knee in the middle of a concert in Anaheim, California, to ask Ashley to marry him, popping back up to say, “She said yes, everybody, she said yes!”
In January, he told ABC Audio they were “very excited” about getting married in Las Vegas with an Elvis impersonator officiating.
“I got engaged to my longtime girlfriend,” he told the outlet, “and, yeah, we’ll get married in Vegas sometime (this) year. Just do a little white chapel-type deal. We don’t want to do the big wedding, and we’ll have a big celebration.”
The country crooner added, “We’ve always wanted to get married by Elvis, so that’s what we’re going to do.”
Beckham told the outlet that they almost got married in Vegas while on tour with “American Idol” judge Luke Bryan, who’s become a mentor and friend since his big win, and their shared manager, Kerri Edwards.
“We almost did it … while Luke had his residency in Vegas,” Beckham said. “‘Cause we were like, ‘How cool would it be if Kerri and Luke were our witnesses at the chapel?’ But yeah, we put it off. We actually did it the real way. We got engaged. So we’re excited.”
Chayce Beckham Says He ‘Never Really Wanted’ a Big Wedding
Friends and fans immediately flooded the Beckhams’ first post as husband and wife, including country singer Dustin Lynch, who wrote, “This is epic! congrats ❤️”
One fan excitedly commented, “Congratulations 🎊 so happy for you and the beautiful Ashley wishing y’all the best can’t wait to see another show lots of love to you both ❤️💍”
Another wrote, “Crying😭😭 congrats y’all!!!”
Rather than spend tons of money on a reception, Beckham told Evans they had other plans, including to “buy or build a house and also getting me into a bus permanently at some point. So we’ve got other things that both of us would rather spend our money on than throwing a big old wedding. And we never really wanted one anyway.”
Beckham and Britt “met years ago, dated for a long time, broke up for a little while, moved to Nashville after the whole ‘Idol’ thing and ended up getting back together,” he told Evans. “Then we were like, ‘Alright, it’s probably about time we get engaged and have a wedding.’ But yeah, we just never wanted to have a big one.”
