VIDEO: Kelly Clarkson Adorably Reacts to Hearing One of Her Favorite Hollywood Couples Voted ‘3 Million Times’ to Help Her Win ‘American Idol’

Kelly Clarkson had a full-circle moment on her talk show—and it involved one very devoted celebrity couple.

During a recent episode of “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” Clarkson welcomed Nick Offerman, who surprised her with a story that instantly made the moment both hilarious and heartfelt.

As Offerman was on stage, he formed a heart shape with his hands toward Clarkson, setting the tone for the sweet exchange.

The Cute Exchange That Revealed Offerman Was a Fan

“I love you so much. Congrats on the new show,” Clarkson began warmly.

“Thank you for having me. I love being on your show,” Offerman replied, clearly enjoying the moment.

Clarkson joked about how often he’s appeared, laughing as she said, “We obviously love having you here. I don’t know how many times you’ve been here.”

That’s when Offerman dropped the unexpected reveal.

“Since Meghan and I single handedly, got you voted to win ‘American Idol,’” he said, referencing his wife, Megan Mullally.

Clarkson immediately burst into laughter. “Meghan told me,” she responded, clearly amused by the claim.

Offerman Recalled The Time He Spent Voting

Offerman doubled down on the story, leaning into the humor.

“It was before texting. You had to call a number… and Justin did not get one vote, and we voted for you over 3 million times,” he joked.

Clarkson played along, clearly touched by the sentiment behind the exaggeration. “You changed my life. And you know I love both you and your wife,” she told him.

“It paid off,” Offerman added. “We made a bet on you, and it paid off.”

The exchange highlighted not only Clarkson’s long-standing success but also the unexpected ways her career has connected with fans—even famous ones.

Clarkson went on to gush about Offerman and Mullally, calling them one of her favorite celebrity couples.

She even grouped them with another iconic duo, Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn.

“There’s something about y’all, all four of you, that is just so cool,” she said.

Fans quickly reacted to the clip online, loving the playful chemistry and the over-the-top voting confession.

“Omg that’s so cute,” one viewer wrote, while another added, “Love the love.”

Others joked about the early American Idol days, with one fan commenting, “So THEY were the reason for the busy signal here and there!!”

Clarkson famously won the very first season of “American Idol” in 2002, launching a career that has spanned music, television and beyond.
