On a post to X as well as Instagram, the Grand Ole Opry introduced, “Howdy! Welcome to the Grand Ole Opry!” a picture book scheduled for release on September 16, 2024. Instagram followers of the Opry page expressed excitement over the book’s pending release, including one who said, “YEEHAW!! Can’t wait for this inspirational celebration of all things Opry!! Instant fan of @susannachap amazing artwork too!”
Lainey Wilson Wrote Forward, Scott McCreery & Kelsea Ballerini Provided Quotes for Book
GettyPeople indicated that Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Lainey Wilson wrote a forward for the book, which also includes illustrations and photographs of some legendary performers throughout Opry’s history, such as Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash and Darius Rucker, as well as quotes from Opry members like “The Voice” judge Kelsea Ballerini and Scotty McCreery, the Season 10 winner of “American Idol.”
The article provided an exclusive look at the forward, noting Wilson, a playoff advisor on Reba McEntire’s team on “The Voice” in November 2024, stressed the influence the Grand Ole Opry had on her life and career, remembering fondly the first time she performed on stage there on February 14, 2020.
