All About Cowell’s Boy Band That Went Viral
D10 was put together on Simon Cowell’s Netflix documentary series, “Simon Cowell: The Next Act,” which premiered on December 10, 2025. December 10 (the name nods to the release date of the series) has already gone viral on YouTube for their live acoustic cover of NSYNC’s “Bye Bye Bye.”
The seven members of December 10, Cruz Lee-Ojo, Danny Bretherton, Hendrik Christoffersen, John Fadare, Josh Olliver, Nicolas Alves, and Seán Hayden, have now created their own music that they can finally share with the rest of the world.
How Cowell’s Son Inspired ‘The Next Act’
The new Netflix series follows Cowell’s search for “the next big pop act,” documenting every stage of the selection process. Cowell and his team of industry professionals held open auditions across the UK, narrowing thousands of people down to seven standout stars. Throughout the six episodes, viewers get a behind-the-scenes look at how Cowell and his collaborators test not only vocal strength but also stage presence, performance, and overall chemistry.
In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight, Cowell explained how his son Eric inspired the show. “He came up to me, he loves music, and he said, ‘Dad, I love this song,’ and he played me a One Direction song. And I was thinking to myself, ‘I’m gonna do it again.’ And why not film the entire process?” Cowell said. Watch the full interview above!
