After getting close to her “Celebrity Big Brother UK” castmate, Chris Hughes, JoJo Siwa finally revealed the status of their relationship.
“People can see our chemistry, and they got to see it develop,” Siwa told The Guardian on June 2. She added, “It’s not platonic any more, and it’s been a beautiful development, a beautiful connection, and I’m absolutely head over heels for him and he’s the same way.”
On the speculation that they were faking their bond for television, Siwa said, “Clearly, you’ve never been around us. I won’t ever speak for him, but for me personally, the happiness in my life just radiates off of me right now. Literally yesterday, I was massaging my cheeks; I’ve never [before] been in pain from smiling so much.”
Siwa was engaged to Kath Ebbs but broke things off after “Celebrity Big Brother UK.” In the interview with The Guardian, the former “Dance Moms” star said, “I do live this very, very big public life that has so many eyeballs on it, and it can get really hard to navigate. But I’m also living a human life. You can’t help who you love.”
Siwa Considers Hughes Her Family
Siwa and Hughes are getting closer every day. As reported by The Irish News on June 1, Siwa told “Sunday Brunch” that her mom approves of Hughes. “My parents think the absolute world of him and him and my dad are like best friends,” she said.
Siwa added, “Chris was actually telling me that yesterday they went to the spa together. They’re literally best friends.”
“It feels like we’re a family. It feels like he’s been in my family for however many years. It feels like they just all get along as well as I do,” she continued.
The singer shared, “I think there will definitely be a lot more time spent here, and I think from him as well, a lot more time spent over there, but we both have families, you know, on either end.”
Hughes Teased His Relationship with Siwa in May
Amid talk of a budding romance, Hughes shared a carousel of pictures with Siwa and wrote, “The previous 7 days have been the prettiest..”
“Omg I’m actually crying this is beautiful I love you guys so much,” a fan replied. Another shared, “Ohhhh yeah they are definitely together.”
One fan gushed, “Genuinely, if this isn’t love, I don’t know what is. How beautiful!”
