Months after ending his relationship with “Summer House” star Paige DeSorbo, Craig Conover is opening up about the emotional journey that followedโand how being single at 37 has forced him to reevaluate what truly matters in life.
Purpose, Philanthropy, and Being “Single at 37”
โIโm coming into a stage in my life where I donโt know what my purpose is. Itโs funny. Itโs an odd way to feel,โ Conover shared on the May 27 episode of the “2 Fake Seals” podcast. โI donโt know. What am I here for? Itโs too existential for this convo, but finding myself single at 37 and [nothing] against that, Iโm just saying that I think I was just like, โOh, Iโm gonna have a family.โโ
The “Southern Charm” star continued, โWhat I mean is that, now, all of a sudden, Iโm only answering to myself. So, what do I do with my time to make it count?โ
The heartfelt reflections came during a May event benefiting Hope for the Warriors, a nonprofit organization that offers support to veterans and military families. Conover, who joined the nonprofitโs board council in 2024, said giving back has become a significant part of his lifeโand helped him find fulfillment after personal setbacks.
Finding Fulfillment Beyond Fame
Despite a successful career as a Bravo personality and entrepreneur, Conover said itโs his philanthropic work that brings him the most joy. โI accomplished what I โ I did it. I did what I wanted to do,โ he said on the podcast. โI do, one day, would love to have a family and stuff. So, now itโs like, โOK, how do you make the most out of your time now?โโ
Through his brand Sewing Down South, Conover has donated more than $200,000 to charitable organizations around the world, according to Hope for the Warriorsโ website.
โWhatever the cause is, itโs what drives me. Itโs why I work really hard at Sewing Down South, to make enough money to be able to help people,โ he said. โTake the business side out of itโฆ Itโll make you feel like a better person. If youโre looking for purpose, go volunteer somewhere.โ
Although he didnโt get into specifics about his current romantic life, Conover hinted he was no longer single during a March 27 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.”
โAre you dating?โ host Andy Cohen asked.
โI am, and Iโm really happy,โ Conover replied. โYou know, when I date, I tend to date only one person at a time, so Iโve been seeing someone. And Iโve been reminded that the universe works in crazy ways, and that everything happens for a reason.โ
Conoverโs split from DeSorboโfirst revealed in early 2025โmarked the end of a multi-year relationship that began after the two met filming a Bravo crossover event. While the breakup prompted questions from fans, it seems Conover is now focused on personal growth and finding meaning through service, connection, and future dreams of family life.
