What Is Bravo’s “In the City” About?
Per a Bravo press release, the show will follow them “as they navigate the biggest transitions of their lives at the time – marriage, separation, parenthood, reinvention and the reality of growing up without growing apart.”
The episodes were filmed “directly” following Season 10 of “Summer House.”
Amanda and Kyle’s Relationship Woes
BravoThe series will appear to show the end of Amanda and Kyle’s marriage, as it began filming before the pair announced their separation.
The trailer begins with footage from Kyle and Amanda’s wedding, as they share their vows. Then text reading “Not every love story ends in happily ever after” is shown on screen, before Andy Cohen is heard announcing the “bombshell” news of the couple’s split.
Later in the trailer, the exes are seen arguing, with Amanda asking him, “Who was in our apartment last night, while I’m asleep?” The two are seen in another heated moment as she tells Kyle, “We don’t have a prenup, but if you come for me, I’ll come for you.”
“That would be a losing battle,” he tells her.
The press release adds that Amanda is “focusing on finding balance between her personal life and professional ambitions while the demise of her marriage is front and center,” while Cooke is “scrambling” to “keep his businesses afloat.”
The video also shows Amanda hugging West Wilson and calling him “cutie,” this after the pair recently confirmed they’re now dating.
Lindsay Hubbard Lives the Single Life
BravoOf course, it’s not all about Amanda and Kyle.
Lindsay Hubbard is also at the center of the footage, as she navigates life as a single mother. She shares daughter Gemma with ex Turner Kufe, though the pair later split.
“Something that I’ve wanted my entire life, a family, that was taken away from me,” she says in one tearful moment. “I’m choosing partners that continue to abandon me, and it’s made me feel like I should be ashamed.”
Hubbard is also seen getting emotional about the love lives of her friends, exclaiming, “I am in tears watching my friends demolish their relationship!”
Who Are the Other Cast Members?
The cast also includes fellow Summer House alums Danielle Olivera, Andrea Denver and his wife, Lexi Sundin.
Danielle is back on Bravo with new boyfriend Eoin Heavey, though Batula claims he still has a wife. According to the press release, “Now living together, they’re navigating their fast-paced love story with the demands of building Eoin’s hotel tech startup, Major D, and Danielle’s new dynamic with former bestie, Lindsay. As skepticism from the group surrounds them, they’re quickly finding out if they can handle the mounting pressure.”
Nick Barber and Yvonne Najor, meanwhile, are a furniture entrepreneur and former marketing exec, respectively, going through “tensions about having children.”
