Drama surrounding “Summer House” continues to heat up—this time with a candid take from newcomer Mia Calabrese, who isn’t holding back when it comes to Amanda Batula’s recent apology.
Appearing on “Watch What Happens Live” with Andy Cohen on Tuesday night, Calabrese was asked directly about Batula’s return to social media following backlash over her relationship with West Wilson.
Calabrese Didn’t Hold Back
“What was your reaction to Amanda’s return to social media, saying she understands the weight of the situation, but she wants to regain normalcy?” Cohen asked.
Calabrese didn’t sugarcoat her response.
“I thought it was interesting that her normalcy was just going out and hitting the bars with West,” she said candidly.
Her comment comes after Batula shared a message addressing fans via Instagram Stories.
“Hi guys, I’ll keep this short and sweet,” Batula wrote. “I’ve obviously been MIA, but I wanted to come back on and say that I’m truly sorry to everyone I’ve disappointed and hurt, especially those I know personally who I’ve reached out to individually.”
She continued by acknowledging the emotional toll of the situation. “For the sake of my mental health, I’m going to try to start living life with some sense of normalcy. If you see me out or posting online, please know that this still weighs very heavily on me.”
But Calabrese hinted that the controversy may run deeper than what’s been publicly shared.
Calabrese Thinks the Romance Has Been Going On Longer Than Stated
During the episode, she agreed with a fan poll asking whether something may have been going on between Batula and Wilson earlier than fans realized.
“Looking back, I would say yes,” Calabrese said, siding with the overwhelming majority of viewers.
Amid the swirling drama, Calabrese also offered insight into how her close friend Ciara Miller is holding up. “I will say, Ciara is one of my best friends, she’s like a sister to me,” she shared. “She will always thrive, and I will always be there to support her, and she’s gonna be amazing.”
She noted that their friendship spans years.
Looking ahead, Calabrese even shared what she hopes for Miller’s future in love.
“I want her to be with someone who sees her, sees her for who she really is,” she said. “I want someone to be honest with her, and I want someone who will dote on her.”
As tensions continue to rise both on and off screen, it’s clear this storyline is far from over—and with voices like Calabrese’s entering the mix, fans can expect even more unfiltered takes as the reunion approaches.
While the reunion has yet to film, Batula and Wilson are set to both be attending.
