In celebration of Jerry O’Connell’s 52nd birthday on February 17, Corey Feldman has shared some never-before-seen photographs of himself alongside his former co-star.
“Dancing with the Stars” alum Feldman starred alongside O’Connell in Rob Reiner’s classic 1986 coming-of-age drama movie “Stand by Me,” and two of the pictures he’s shared also include another star of the movie, Wil Wheaton.
Set in the fictional town of Castle Rock, Oregon, in 1959, and based on Stephen King’s 1982 novella “The Body,” “Stand by Me” follows four boys who set out on a journey to find the dead body of another boy who’s gone missing.
In the movie, Feldman played the eccentric, reckless, and loud-mouthed Teddy Duchamp, O’Connell played timid, overweight, and somewhat comical Vern Tessio, and Wheaton played the quiet and introspective Gordie Lachance. It also starred the late River Phoenix, who played Chris Chambers, the wise natural leader from a troubled family, and the fourth member of the group.
Having spent O’Connell’s birthday with him, Feldman took to his Instagram account on February 18 to share the unseen photographs of the trio with his 267,000 followers.

The post comprised three photographs. The first, seemingly on the set of “Stand by Me,” shows Feldman driving a quad bike with Jerry O’Connell riding on the back. The second shows Feldman, O’Connell, and Wil Wheaton with a fan wearing a “Stand by Me” T-shirt. The third and final image is of Feldman, O’Connell, and Wheaton posing happily in front of a Christmas tree.
It provided a lovely insight into a longstanding three-way friendship — and Feldman’s fans had lots of positive things to say about it in the comments.
