In a new social media update, the singer announced that her son, Matthew, was getting married. Marie Osmond feels tremendously grateful for her new daughter-in-law and is eager to show her off to fans.
Marie Osmond Can’t Wait to Add Another Daughter to the Family
Marie Osmond’s son, Matthew, is getting married. Coming from a large Mormon family, weddings are always a spectacular and joyful occasion. The singer felt elated to introduce her new daughter-in-law to fans, gushing over her in a sweet new post.
“I’d like you all to meet Kaitlynn; she’s absolutely adorable, and she’s my son Matthew’s fiancée! We couldn’t love her more!!!♥️” the 66-year-old shared in a new Instagram update. She attached a photo of herself and Kaitlynn posing in front of a sign that reads, “She’s been scooped up.”
“I know many of you met Matthew when he was on the road with me, and I thought you’d like to know. He’s such a wonderful man, and I’m so happy for them☺️” Marie continued. “Yesterday was a very special day, family and friends all gathered for Kaitlynn’s bridal shower.”
In the comments, fans gushed over the bride and praised Marie for being such a caring mother-in-law.

The Osmonds Have Dealt With Painful Losses Over the Past Few Years
Fans know just how close the Osmond siblings all were. Over the past few years, painful losses have gripped the family following the deaths of two brothers, Alan and Wayne.
Wayne Osmond passed away following a stroke on January 1, 2025, at 73. Alan followed on April 20, 2026, at 76, after experiencing several health issues. Marie Osmond penned heartfelt tributes to both her brothers after saying goodbye to them.
“Writing about your sibling’s passing is not something easily done,” Marie began her Instagram tribute to her late brother, Alan. “The years and years of memories I have of my big brother Alan could never be written in a few words—it would take volumes—but I shall try.”
Though the public wanted to hear from the surviving siblings, Marie Osmond opted for silence and quiet reflection instead.
“I haven’t done any interviews or issued any statements until this post. The truth is, it’s just too hard to put into words, but I will try my best to honor one of the most loving men I have ever known,” the singer wrote in her tribute to Alan.
