Before “The Traitors” Season 4 airs, fans have been treated to a sneak peek of what is coming, and it looks like this season is going to be a good one! Among the cast is “Dancing with the Stars” professional dancer and three-time Mirrorball champion, Mark Ballas.
Mark Ballas on ‘The Traitors’
During BravoCon 2025 on Saturday, November 15, an exclusive teaser for the upcoming episode was shared. It began with host Alan Cumming lighting an oil lamp. “Don’t be afraid of the dark, be afraid of what lies within it,” he tells the cameras, before turning over a deck of tarot cards. The cards feature the contestants from Season 4. Ballas is one of them, and he looks great in the clip, wearing his hair long and loose.
Stars who signed up for this season include “Real Housewives” favorites Lisa Rinna, Candiace Dillard Bassett, Caroline Stanbury, and Porsha Williams. Other contestants include Donna Kelce, mother to NFL stars Travis and Jason Kelce, comedian Ron Funches, “The Bachelor” star Colton Underwood, and Olympic figure skaters Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski. There are also celebrities from various reality TV series, including “Love Island,” “Big Brother,” and “Survivor.”
Mark Ballas Defends His Casting
The show is filmed in a castle in the Scottish Highlands, and Ballas has previously shared how it was challenging to film away from his young son, Banksi. A clip of their reunion was posted on Instagram on July 7. It shows Banksi running down toward Ballas in excitement. In the caption, he wrote, “The best hug I’ve ever had #dad #son.”
Ballas also defended his casting against those who doubted his inclusion in the show. He made a video on Instagram on July 9. In it, he addresses why he deserves his spot after a content creator criticized his casting. He showed off his Mirrorball Trophies, having won with Kristi Yamaguchi (Season 6), Shawn Johnson (Season 8), and Charli D’Amelio (Season 31). Ballas then tells the camera, “That’s why. Stay blessed.”
Fans showed their support for Ballas in the comment section of the post. His mom, Shirley Ballas, also reacted. “Oh boy oh boy. Some people have too much time on their hands. Glad you spoke up son,” she wrote.
Other reactions include, “oh you was feeling big sassy today,” “That’s right! You tell’em Ballas!,” and “I LOVE U FOR THIS!!!!”
He may also grab his fourth on Season 34, because he and current celebrity dance partner Whitney Leavitt are having an incredible season.
