See Robert Irwin’s Zest for Life as He Swim in His Underwear & Rolls Down Sand Dunes

Weeks after winning “Dancing with the Stars” Season 34, Robert Irwin has inspired fans with his zest for life.

Robert Irwin’s Zest for Life

Fans fell in love with Irwin for the passion and dedication he poured into the season, and by the end, it was hard to believe he had no prior dance training. The Mirrorball champ also won over fans with his incredible, genuine personality. He and his family have been praised for being national treasures. Irwin is back in Australia and making the most of his time in his homeland, including running and rolling down sand dunes and taking a spontaneous dip in the ocean in his underwear!

“When life gives you the chance to roll down the sand dune, and jump into the ocean, take it. I love where I live,” he wrote in the caption of his video, which he posted on Instagram.

Fans have flooded the comment section with their thoughts, praising the wildlife conservationist for being such an inspiration. “Now if you look out the zoo shuttle to your left, you’ll see a Robert Irwin in his natural habitat,” a fan wrote. “I’m convinced Robert Irwin is the best human on the planet currently. Find me a better person, I dare you,” another shared.

Other reactions include, “Steve walked so Robert could run,” “This man’s love for life is the most precious thing ever,” and “I mean could you be any MORE AWESOME.” Irwin’s professional dance partner Witney Carson also reacted to the post. “I’d do that with you if I was there!,” she wrote.

Robert Irwin’s Love for Australia

Irwin spent several months in Los Angeles filming “Dancing with the Stars,” and although he was welcomed to the United States with open arms, Australia will always be his home. “It’s so easy to get out in the middle of nowhere and just forget everything. You feel like you’re part of something so much bigger than yourself,” he told Travel + Leisure about his home in an October 2025 interview.

His love for Australia has been passed on through his late father, Steve Irwin. “He’s the embodiment of passion, of living life to 100 percent,” Irwin said of Steve, who passed away on September 4, 2006. “If Australia were a person, it would be my dad. To love your wildlife, to be passionate, to have that spirit of mateship and camaraderie with everyone. He is just a superhero to me.”
