Whitney Leavitt has always maintained a strong social media presence. But over the last year, her popularity has truly exploded.
After rising to prominence on “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” she went on to compete on “Dancing With the Stars” season 34 along with Mark Ballas. Now, the pair are performing together as Roxie Hart and Billy Flynn in “Chicago” on Broadway.
The 32-year-old is having the time of her life and living out her dreams. In a recent interview, Whitney shared the secret to balancing her fruitful career while having a strong family life too.
Whitney Leavitt Knows She Has a Strong Support System at Home
Like many of her co-stars, Whitney Leavitt and her husband, Conner, are the parents of multiple small children. Together, they are the parents of a daughter, Sedona, 6, and two sons, Liam, 4, and Billy, 1.
Rigorous filming and performing schedules are tough, but Whitney is thankful for every opportunity that comes her way.
In a new interview, Scary Mommy asked the Broadway starlet if she ever struggles with “mom guilt,” especially now that her career is skyrocketing.
“I did and a lot of people saw that from the last season of ‘SLOMW’ and I’m not saying it doesn’t still happen every once in a while,” Whitney thoughtfully shared. However, it seems she’s done her best to work through her insecurities.
“Maybe something will be happening in one of my children’s lives that I can’t attend, but something that I’ve really enjoyed, especially with being married to Conner, is he’s someone that’s helped me navigate this and [has helped me] find creative ways for me to be a part of that,” the mother of three continued. “And I love my kids seeing me create, and they’ve come to the Ambassador Theater, and they’ve seen the stage. My daughter’s even come to a show.”
“Being a mom looks different now than it did even a year ago, but we’ve made it work. I think, regardless, I’ll always have those moments of mom guilt. If I could do it all, I would, but I can’t!” Whitney shared.
Conner Leavitt Supports His Wife’s Broadway Career
On “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” Conner Leavitt has been incredibly supportive of his wife’s dreams and ambitions. It appears that’s also true when the television cameras aren’t rolling.
During the April 6 performance of “Chicago,” Conner could be seen visiting with theatergoers outside the Ambassador Theater.
Filming for “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” season 5 is on hold for now, but fans would love to see the Leavitt family back onscreen when it returns.
Whitney Leavitt will be in “Chicago” on Broadway through May 3. Tickets may be purchased on the Broadway website.
