On November 20, 2025, Fátima Bosch won the coveted Miss Universe title, becoming the 74th woman in a long line of beautiful, intelligent, and charitable ladies to don the crown. Here are five facts you may or may not have known about the accomplished woman.

Bosch represented Mexico in the Miss Universe 2025 competition. She’s the fourth woman from Mexico to win the crown, but she still made history with her success. According to Us Weekly, Bosch was the first woman from the Mexican state of Tabasco to win the Miss Mexico title, therefore also making her the first Tabasco contestant to win Miss Universe.

Winning Miss Universe is incredibly impressive, but Bosch has done difficult, inspiring things before. According to El Financiero, Bosch got her bachelor’s degree in clothing and fashion design from the Universidad Iberoamericana. She then added to her training by heading to Milan to study at the Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti.

Per El Financiero, Bosch was originally invited to compete for Miss Mexico in 2019, but she declined. Her number one priority was to finish her education. Luckily, Bosch got another chance to compete for the crown, and good thing she took it!


Fátima Bosch Struggled With Mental Illness

Bosch is a very inspirational Miss Universe winner, as she’s struggled with the same disorders many of us endure: dyslexia and ADHD. Unfortunately, Us Weekly wrote that Bosch faced bullying as a child due to these disorders.

Philanthropy is a big part of the Miss Universe organization, and Bosch has definitely done her part. According to Hola, Bosch has spent the past nine years volunteering with kids plagued by cancer. As part of her work, she organizes a yearly Christmas toy drive at the Oncology Hospital of Tabasco.

When Bosch won Miss Mexico 2025, she couldn’t immediately celebrate her success. According to Us Weekly, Bosch’s win was a surprise, as many people thought Yoana Gutiérrez was going to win. In fact, when Bosch was announced as the victor, some audience members booed.

Luckily, Bosch didn’t let the critics get her down. Regarding the moment, she said, “Nothing and no one will keep me from enjoying this crown.” As it turns out, Bosch’s Miss Universe win proves she was a good choice to win Miss Mexico, and she clearly has a bright future ahead of her.
