Jennifer Lawrence, 36, Opens Up About ‘Baby Botox’ and Plastic Surgery Plans

Jennifer Lawrence is opening up about cosmetic treatments, plastic surgery and the changes she has noticed in her body after having two children, Cy and Louie. The Oscar winner, 36, recently revealed that she uses small amounts of Botox. She also admitted there is one procedure she would love to try.

Jennifer Lawrence Gets Candid About Baby Botox

According to the Daily Mail, the actress recently discussed her approach to cosmetic treatments in an interview with Vogue. She explained that she uses “baby Botox” but cannot have too much injected.

“I need to have movement in my face,” Jennifer Lawrence said. “I get baby Botox, but I can’t do a lot.”

The actress also discussed how she maintains her complexion. She said she relies on facials and prefers her skin to look healthy and dewy.

“If my skin is going to be a little saggier than I would like,” she said, “at least it looks dewy and pretty.”

Jennifer Lawrence also revealed that she is interested in buccal fat removal. However, she feels being famous makes the decision more complicated.

“I can’t because everybody would know.”

The procedure removes fat from the cheek area and can create a more sculpted appearance by reducing cheek fullness.

For now, Jennifer Lawrence is focusing on skincare. She described being on a “retinol journey” using tretinoin cream. She also uses Desitin diaper rash ointment to help with redness caused by retinol.

Jennifer Lawrence Has Discussed Plastic Surgery Before

The comments are not the first time the actress has spoken openly about cosmetic procedures. In October 2025, she discussed plans for breast enhancement after her second pregnancy.

“Everything bounced back, pretty much, after the first one,” Jennifer Lawrence said. “Second one, nothing bounced back.”

Jennifer Lawrence also pushed back on the idea that she had already joined the recent facelift trend.

“But I’m gonna!” she joked.

Openness About Motherhood

Jennifer Lawrence’s comments about her appearance also come after a major period of change in her personal life. She and husband Cooke Maroney have two sons. Their first child, Cy, was born in February 2022. They welcomed their second baby in March 2025.

The actress has been equally candid about how motherhood has affected her emotionally.

In a November 1, 2025, interview discussed by Us Magazine, Jennifer Lawrence spoke about experiencing severe anxiety after her second child’s birth. Her first postpartum experience had been very different.

“I felt like a tiger was chasing me every day,” she said. “I had so much anxiety.”

Jennifer Lawrence Prefers Honesty Over Perfection

The actress has also made it clear that she does not particularly enjoy beauty maintenance. According to the Daily Mail, she finds salon appointments tedious.

“I hate getting my hair colored,” she said. She also admitted that she dislikes going to the nail salon.

“It’s not relaxing. It’s not fun. It’s really, really boring.”

For Jennifer Lawrence, cosmetic treatments are just one part of a much bigger conversation about aging, motherhood and life in the public eye. Her willingness to discuss all three has made her approach notably candid. Meanwhile, Jennifer Aniston made candid comments about her fear of public speaking.
