Andrew Walker’s Tender Message to the Author of His New Movie Is Simply Beautiful

Andrew Walker’s latest Hallmark movie, “Adventures in Love & Birding,” recently debuted, and fans loved it. The film was based on Sarah T. Dubb’s novel “Birding with Benefits,” and fans will not want to miss the sweet exchange that Dubb and Walker recently had on social media.

Andrew Walker Praised Sarah T. Dubb & Director Angie Nolan

On October 8, Walker shared a handful of photos connected to the movie on his Instagram page.

In the caption, he wrote, “To all the ‘bird nerds’ out there! (you rock) Who would’ve thought our little bird movie #adventuresinloveandbirding would bring so many of us together. Thank you to @sarahtdubbwrites for writing this wonderful story.”

Walker continued, “I’m so grateful to everyone involved in this one. Supporting cast and crew, our director, background performers and our producers @lamargueritehenry @elisespeiser and anyone else involved that I might not have acknowledged. Thank you!”

The Hallmark fan favorite also shouted out to Angie Nolan, who directed the film. He noted it was her directorial debut and that she had been a part of Hallmark’s “Make Her Mark” program.

The “Make Her Mark” initiative was “designed to advance Hallmark’s commitment to inclusive storytelling by supporting and increasing representation of women behind the camera.” Walker wrote, “Congrats Angie, go get’em!”

The ‘Birding With Benefits’ Author Was Sweetly Emotional Over Walker’s Praise

After Walker shared his post, Dubb shared it via her Instagram Stories. She noted, “I can’t tell you what it means when members of the ‘Adventures in Love and Birding’ cast include me in their Hallmark family and call out my book.”

Dubb continued, “This has been so otherworldly, but it’s truly the kindness and generosity of everyone involved that has made it such a beautiful experience.”

Walker then shared that Instagram Story via his own Instagram Stories and added, “You’re the reason we made the movie Sarah.” He added a handful of heart emojis along with the sweet caption.

Ahead of the Hallmark premiere of “Adventures in Love & Birding,” Dubb gave her Instagram followers a detailed breakdown of how they could watch the movie. She also encouraged them to send her their “unhinged DMs” about the movie, but she did add one caveat.

She noted, “I know that we form attachments to books and characters and plot pieces, and that it can be hard to see those changes in an adaptation. I promise you, no one is closer to ‘Birding with Benefits’ than I am.”

Dubb continued, “But I am also fully and unequivocally joyful about the new life the story will have as a movie, and am going into my viewing with detachment, excitement, and positivity.”

“If you need to mourn a change or shake your fist about something you don’t like, I totally get it! Art we love is personal to us. But please do that sharing with anyone other than me.”

Walker responded in the comment section with a hand-clapping emoji, and many of the author’s followers expressed their support and excitement for her in additional comments.

  1. I loved, loved, loved the movie. The photography and beautiful birds in the movie, were amazing. Of course, the hallmarks stars in it, completed the movie. I think they are without a doubt, two of the most talented, of all the Hallmark stars. I am an avid Hallmark fan and watch most of their movies. Keep up the great work. You truly captured the natural beauty in our world.👏👏👏👏👏
