AnnaLynne McCord is engaged! The “90210” alum and current “Days of Our Lives” star revealed in an interview with People that professional rugby player Danny Cipriani proposed to her nearly four months ago on Christmas Day 2025 surrounded by their loved ones.
The actress, whose credits also include the 2014 Hallmark movie “The Christmas Parade,” told People, “I cried for 10 minutes straight. At some point, I realized I had to answer. I said, ‘Yes, but I can’t even speak,’ and he replied, ‘That’s okay, it’s actually a good sign that you are quiet for once.’ Then, we’re all laughing.”

The couple, who began their romantic relationship a decade ago, bought each other promise rings just one month prior to their engagement. With forever on their mind, McCord said she almost asked Cipriani to marry her until her sisters convinced her otherwise.
“It occurred to me that I should just propose to him, and I told my sisters. Both really questioned this choice, and they strongly discouraged it,” the “Days of Our Lives” star shared of almost dropping to one knee. “I decided to tell him that was my plan, but then the look on his face convinced me not to, and he fessed up and told me he had plans to propose to me on our upcoming trip to Cambodia.”
Cipriani proposed to McCord with a 15-carat, emerald-cut diamond ring. The band has seven round accent diamonds on each side.
McCord recalled to People that when Cipriani proposed, he first asked her family to make sure she was wearing something she’d be happy to take pictures in. When her family told her to dress up to take their nephew to the movies, she was confused but did so anyway. Once ready, the “Nip/Tuck” alum said she walked down the stairs to the surprise of a lifetime.
“I said, ‘No, I’m not getting dolled up just to go to a movie,’ but my sisters insisted,” McCord said. “Suddenly, they are rushing me and announcing they are leaving. I come downstairs and there are rose petals everywhere and a rose petal heart. Danny, down on one knee with a ring, waiting for me to step into the heart.”

McCord and Cipriani met on the dating app Raya 10 years ago, People reported. They were on and off for four years while also in an open relationship. After separating in 2020, they began dating again in 2024 after both going on a “very spiritual journey.”
Unable to see herself without Cipriani by her side, McCord gushed to people about how deeply in love she is with her fiancé.
“When I look at Danny, he’s home to me. I think he is a home that I never knew I needed and that I didn’t feel I deserved,” she shared. “The Cancer, sappy side of me is like, ‘Oh my God, I get to love him!’ Just like the song by Ruelle, ‘I Get to Love You’ — which I will walk down the aisle to!”
