Beth Broderick Says She’s Never Tried to Hide Her Age — But Has Gone Back to Being a Blonde

Broderick has been having fun with her swimsuit posts. She shared another pool shot on September 22, this time of her in the water, which she captioned, “Just for the record, older women still like to ‘pool’ around.”

hasn’t had many chances to show off her youthful physique in the many rom-coms she’s appeared in since her days as Aunt Zelda on “Sabrina the Teenage Witch,” which aired from 1996 to 2003 per IMDb, co-starring Melissa Joan Hart and Caroline Rhea.

Her Hallmark hits have included 2024’s “Holiday Mismatch,” in which she teamed up again with Rhea, as well as 2022’s “When I Think of Christmas,” 2019’s “Christmas Town,” and 2017’s “Romance at Reindeer Lodge.” She also was part of Netflix’s 2024 movie “The Merry Gentlemen.”

When she’s not acting, Broderick often writes for her Substack blog, called ” Wit and Wisdom for the Ages from the Aged.” In one recent post, Broderick revealed that although she let her silver hair come in during the pandemic — and booked lots of gigs with her new look.

“The modeling agencies that I signed with were 100% in favor of the silvery white,” she wrote. “It was a great relief not to have to color my hair every three weeks, and it helped me relax about getting older. My acting reps did not quibble with me about it; the natural look was ‘on trend.'”

But Broderick noted that she recently had a change of heart, deciding to go back to being a blonde.

“I love being the age that I am,” she wrote. “I have never tried to hide it, and I never will; that would be pointless in our digital times. I am proud to be 66 years old and fully aware of the privilege it represents. I don’t have a dog in the hunt when it comes to trying to look younger. I just want to look more like, well … me.”

“I’m not sure if it’s true that ‘blondes have more fun,” she continued. “I had some rip-roaring times as a redhead and some fine adventures with the white. I have certainly had my fair share of the good times, so color me grateful. I’m fixing to have some more…”
