Brennan Elliott is ready for a fresh start in 2026, from how he looks to how he feels. On December 31, the longtime Hallmark star posted an emotional message about the previous year, during which he lost his wife to cancer and adjusted to life as a single dad to their kids, 13-year-old Liam and 11-year-old Luna.
Captioning a photo of himself smiling and sporting a new ‘do, the “His & Hers” star wrote, “Just wanted to say #happynewyears everyone! To say #2025 was a year I’ll never forget and hope to never relive would be an understatement!!!”
Fans Celebrated Brennan Elliott’s New Look & New Outlook
After an eight-year battle with gastric cancer, Elliott’s wife, Camilla Rowe, died in March 2025. In his New Year’s Eve post, Elliott wrote that in 2025, “lessons were learned as well as blessings recieved, and to say I am excited for #2026 and new adventures would be the truth.”
Sporting a shorter hairstyle after years of slicking back his dark locks, Elliott continued, “New haircut, new vision, new purpose! Always remember the hardest times build the best character. THANKYOU #2025, for the growth but go away to put it lightly cause I’m ready to fly in #2026! Blessings to you all and be safe tonight!”
Fans flooded his post with words of admiration and encouragement for a happier year ahead, including one who wrote, “Sending much love and many hugs to you and your beautiful children. I am so proud to support you, Brennan. I admire you so much.”
“Hoping you and your children have the best experiences in 2026 and beyond,” another fan wrote. “You all have a beautiful guardian angel pushing y’all to move forward.”
Many others complimented Elliott’s ear-to-ear smile and shorter hair, including one who wrote, “Oh thank God. It is so good to see a smile on your face. I know you’ve been through hell. Prayers for a new year, filled with hope and happiness. Love your new haircut. You look wonderful. God bless you and your children.🙏🤗🙏”
Someone else chimed in, “So good to see you smile! Wishing you and your kids an amazing 2026. You 3 deserve all the happiness possible. ❤️”
Brennan Elliott Hopes New Hallmark Movies Are on the Horizon
Elliott understandably did not appear in any new Hallmark movies or other projects in 2025, but ended his year with two major fan events — the Hallmark Christmas Experience in Kansas City and Christmas Con in Edison, New Jersey, where EntertainmentNow caught up with him in mid-December.
The actor said he made the trip from California to New Jersey to meet his fans because “they come from all over the world to meet us and talk about the films they like.”
More than ever before, Elliott said he understands why his and other Hallmark movies are such a comfort for viewers facing hard things, noting, “You might have a lady that’s going through an illness or a gentleman that’s lost his job or there’s something wrong — they’re always going through something, and these movies always really help them get through whatever trial they’re going through.”
“It’s an honor to be able to do something, a character from a movie, that makes somebody feel good,” Elliott continued. “As I always say, you never feel bad after watching a Hallmark movie. It’s an honor. It’s an honor to make them. I’ve done 30 or 31 — I would rather do these the rest of my career ’cause they’re great, you know?”
