Janel Parrish Says She’s ‘Manifesting’ a Broadway Comeback

After starring in Hallmark’s “Two for Tee,” Janel Parrish is opening up about a different dream she hopes to revisit: Broadway.

While promoting her latest film, Parrish opened up about her longtime love of theater and revealed that she hopes to return to Broadway one day.

Parrish Says Broadway Is Still Her ‘Favorite Thing’

In an interview published by Pop Culture Planet, Parrish shared that performing on stage remains a major goal, even after years of success in television and film.

“I always love heading back to the stage whenever I can. I would love to manifest that. Let’s manifest Broadway. I would love to do that,” she said.

Parrish added that she would especially love to take on a role that allows her to sing, noting, “I would love to do a movie where I get to sing as well.”

A Full-Circle Moment for the Actress

Long before her roles in projects like Pretty Little Liars and Netflix’s “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before,” Parrish actually began her career on stage.

She performed on Broadway as a child, playing Young Cosette in “Les Misérables” at just six years old. Since then, she has continued to return to theater whenever possible, appearing in productions like “Spring Awakening,” “Grease,” and “Cruel Intentions: The ’90s Musical.”

Her most recent musical project included producing and performing in her own solo show in Hawaii, which she described as a dream experience.

“That was just a dream. I had so much fun,” Parrish said. “So let’s do it. Let’s manifest more singing.”

Parrish also shared some of the roles she would love to take on if she makes her return to Broadway.

Among them are Roxie Hart in “Chicago” and a role in “Hadestown,” both of which would allow her to combine her love of acting, singing, and dancing.

“I’m just a theater nerd at heart,” she said. “I started out on Broadway when I was six. It’s still my favorite thing in the world.”

What Comes Next for Parrish

While Parrish is currently focused on her work in film and television, her latest comments suggest that a return to the stage could be part of her long-term plans.

As “Two for Tee” continues to introduce her to new audiences, fans may be watching closely to see whether her Broadway dreams become a reality.
