Kimberly J. Brown Shares Touching Tribute to 2 Beloved Icons, Imagining Them ‘Together in Heaven’

A Hallmark actress took to social media to share a touching post as she reflected on two treasured entertainers. Disney Channel alum and “Haul Out the Halloween” star Kimberly J. Brown shared an Instagram post on December 29, 2025, as she thought about the legacies of her former co-star Debbie Reynolds and the entertainment icon’s equally famous daughter, Carrie Fisher.

Kimberly J. Brown Thinks of Former Co-Star Debbie Reynolds Every December

Brown shared a photo showing her with Reynolds that was taken quite a few years ago. She also posted a photo showing her in her living room with one of the “Star Wars” movies playing on television.

In the caption, Brown wrote, “I always think about Debbie and Carrie this time of year, it’s so hard to believe that they’ve been gone from the earth for 9 years now!”

As People noted, “Star Wars” alum Fisher died on December 27, 2016, at the age of 60. Tragically, her mother, Reynolds, died one day later of a stroke at the age of 84.

Brown provided some context about the photo that showed her with Reynolds. “I think this pic of Debbie and I is from the last time I saw her perform in Vegas (a night I will truly never forget).”

She added, “I felt an urge to watch #starwars again this weekend, and then I went ‘ah!’ when I realized the date.”

“I never had the honor of meeting Carrie personally, but I felt like I had because of the way Debbie always spoke about her,” Brown wrote.

In addition, the Hallmark star shared that she felt Reynolds and Fisher were “So beautifully, deeply connected…and I know they are having a BALL together in Heaven!”

Brown & Reynolds Starred Together in ‘Halloweentown’

Brown may have never had the chance to meet Fisher, but she did more than snap a selfie with Reynolds. Hallmark fans may remember that they both starred in “Halloweentown,” which was released in 1998.

Reynolds played Aggie Cromwell, who was the grandmother to Brown’s character, Marnie Piper.

Many fans left sweet notes for Brown in the comment section of her Instagram post.

“Debbie felt like a grandmother to ALL, through watching HalloweenTown… that’s how much she connected to people,” one fan wrote.

“Everyone’s Favorite Grandma,” added another.

Someone else shared that they think of Reynolds every New Year’s Eve. They explained that years ago, they worked at a theater where Reynolds performed on New Year’s Eve. That night, the commenter revealed, she “had the flu and two bottles of champagne.”

“Needless to say, I had a mess to clean up lol. She was very apologetic about it. It didn’t bother me. It gave me a good story to tell,” the fan added.

An additional commenter quoted a line said by Fisher in “Halloweentown” that fit the moment beautifully. They wrote, “‘Being [normal] is vastly overrated,’ I always tell myself that when I feel the social anxiety creeping in. Cheers to OG Cromwell!!”
