HGTV alum Chip Gaines got a special surprise from his employees at Magnolia to celebrate his 51st birthday.
Chip Gaines Birthday Tribute
The “Fixer Upper” star turned 51 on Friday, November 14, and his staff wasn’t going to let him forget it.
“A dreamer. A doer. And an advocate for #demoday. Happy birthday to @chipgaines!” the official Magnolia Instagram account captioned a sweet video tribute to the handyman.
In the clip, employees were asked to “finish this phrase,” “We all know that Chip loves…”
The staff’s answers ranged from “biscuits and gravy” to “his money clip.”
“We all know that Chip loves Demo Day,” multiple employees said.
Other workers remarked on the “Capital Gaines” author’s fashion choices.
“We all know that Chip loves cowboy boots and a backwards hat,” one female said. “Wearing overalls with no shirt on underneath,” a male employee added.
“Chip loves to find the best in people,” another worker answered, while yet another chimed in to say, “All the people and the community of Waco.”
Dad jokes, baseball, ham sandwiches, heavy machinery, Jo’s Barbie and “to have a good time” were other common responses.
Perhaps the most obvious, yet endearing, was, “We all know that Chip loves Jo.”
While Joanna Gaines didn’t appear in the staff video, she took to her own social media profile to share a sweet message for her husband’s special day.
“You really do make life more fun. Happy birthday @chipgaines!” she captioned a woodsy photo.
Fans Shared Their Own Responses for Chip’s Birthday
Fans of the famous couple wanted to get in on the birthday fun, as many took to the comment section to finish the line themselves.
“Chip loves his babies!!” one fan commented.
“Chip loves huevos rancheros 😍!” another wrote.
“Chip loves attention!” one follower chimed in.
Chip Gaines’ Big Year Ahead
The father of five shows no signs of slowing down!
He and Joanna recently announced their new series, “Fixer Upper: Colorado Mountain House.”
“We are not in Waco anymore, are we?” Chip says in the trailer. “We’re in the beautiful state of Colorado.”
He added, “The only reservation is the idea of doing a project of this magnitude outside of Waco, Texas. There’s a lot of work to be done.”
Fans can watch as the couple takes on renovating a home outside of the Waco, Texas, area for the first time when the series premieres December 9 on Magnolia Network and HGTV.
