HGTV Star Shares Positive Update Amid Her Chronic Illness: ‘I Am Still Processing’

HGTV star Jenn Todryk opened up about the latest in her struggle with Hashimoto’s disease.

The “No Demo Reno” star previously revealed her diagnosis during a September 2025 episode of her podcast, “You, Me & Mike.”

Jenn Todryk Shares Health Update

Todryk, who has been battling the disease for a decade, shared a positive health update via social media on Saturday, April 4.

“This morning I got my most recent lab results back and I am still processing the results…I have Hashimotos, and below is the hormone that measures your Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies. It is supposed to be 0. Two blood draws ago I was at 5,488, the blood draw I had back in October was 5,070,” she began.

According to the Mayo Clinic, symptoms of Hashimoto’s disease include fatigue and sluggishness, increased sensitivity to cold, sleepiness, dry skin, muscle weakness and aches, joint pain and stiffness, depression, problems with memory and concentration, brittle nails, hair loss, enlargement of the tongue and a puffy face.

She continued, “Today I’m at 257 — a level I have never been at. When I was first diagnosed over 10 years ago, I was over 1,000. I’ve never seen my inflammation this low.”

Todryk went on to say that she was in shock over her results as they were a drastic improvement from her previous tests.

“I didn’t believe it. Told my doctor I want a redraw but after seeing that every hormone has also improved along with iron, B12, T3, I was in tears,” she wrote. “I don’t really want to talk about it here yet because I keep getting emotional. Over 10 years of ‘well, it’s gotten worse’… I can’t believe it. What a Saturday.”

Jenn Todryk Previously Shared She Was ‘Struggling’

In September, during a chat with husband Mike Todryk, the designer shared that she had been struggling with her health.

“My body is attacking its own thyroid, so I am in a constant state of inflammation.. I get sick a lot more often. So how do I feel about that? It sucks but it’s not something that I’m like ‘why me?'” she began during an episode of her podcast. “It just feels like you have pregnancy exhaustion.. or you’ve worked like 12 to 16 hour shift… it’s to the point where your eyes are so heavy and you have to like think about stuff or slap yourself in the face to keep yourself awake.”

  1. The symptoms can be brutal and some people think they are going crazy but once the disease is caught and treated, your health and mental well being improves, not immediately but in time. She is on her way to being healthy again
