Sarah Baeumler just gave HGTV fans a peek into one of her most personal family milestones — moving her daughter Charlotte into her college dorm.
The “Renovation Island” star took to Instagram to share a new video of the space, revealing how she’s making her daughter’s new home away from home as cozy as possible.
The picture shows Charlotte’s dorm bedroom, styled with soft bedding and personal touches to make the transition feel more comfortable.
Sarah admitted the process came with “all the emotions” as she settled her oldest daughter in for her first year of university. Still, she expressed relief knowing Charlotte feels “cozy, comfortable, and sleeping well” as she adjusts to campus life.
For Sarah, making the room feel warm and inviting was about bringing a little piece of home to ease the bittersweet moment of saying goodbye.
Sarah Baeumler Drops Daughter Off at High Point University
Charlotte, 18, is now a freshman at High Point University in High Point, North Carolina.
The school has around 6,300 students and has earned recognition as the “Best Run College in the Nation” by the Princeton Review.
It’s about a twelve-and-a-half hour drive from the Baeumlers’ home base in South Florida, making this an especially emotional move for the family.
Adding to the distance, the Baeumlers also spend time at their resort in the Bahamas, Cerula Mar, which has been featured prominently on HGTV’s Renovation Island.
With their new series “Building Baeumler” set to expand that property, it’s clear the family will be balancing big professional projects alongside this personal new chapter.
A Heartfelt Message for Charlotte’s Next Chapter
In addition to sharing the dorm-room video, Sarah also posted an emotional video from Charlotte’s move-in day.
The video included clips of the High Point campus and Bryan Baeumler driving the family’s car packed full of their daughter’s belongings.
Sarah paired the video with Dylan Scott’s “The Good Times Go By Too Fast,” a fitting soundtrack for the bittersweet milestone.
Her caption struck a chord with fans, as she described the mix of joy and heartache that comes with watching your child step into adulthood. “Today we hugged Charlotte tight and said one last goodbye as she begins her new chapter,” Sarah wrote, admitting nothing truly prepares a parent for that moment.
She reflected on Charlotte’s journey so far — the growth, the stumbles, the laughter, and the lessons learned — and emphasized that her daughter is now ready to carry all of that with her into this next stage of life. “Charlotte, I am so proud of your courage, your curiosity, and the heart you bring to everything you do,” Sarah added, reminding her daughter that the family will be cheering her on every step of the way.
