As Knowles has gotten older, she’s been open about her experiences when it comes to aging.
In December 2025, she was asked by Harper’s Bazaar, “What aspects of your physical appearance do you love more now, as you’ve gotten older?”
“Over the last 10 years, I’ve placed more emphasis on taking care of myself,” Knowles answered. “For most of my life, I was always doing my clients’ hair or giving my friends and family beauty tips, but I’m now really prioritizing self-care.”
She added, “Beauty rituals and routines are constantly evolving, but the foundation of taking care of yourself and enhancing what’s already there always ages well.”
The Famous Figure Says Her Life Is Amazing Nowadays
GettyHarper’s Bazaar also asked Knowles, “How did your memoir, Matriarch, help shape your perspective on aging?”
“When I was writing my memoir, Matriarch, it really brought home the fact that my life has been so amazing in my 60s and 70s,” she explained. “I would not trade it for youth any day! I learned through writing my book that I am one of the most resilient people. Even though my life has had huge hardships, I have been able to remain non-bitter. That’s powerful for me.”
Finally, she was asked, “What keeps you feeling vibrant and youthful?”
Her answer: “My grandchildren!”
