Grammy-Winning Singer & Actress Announces Her Memoir

Brandy Norwood is one of the most beloved singers and actresses. Known by many as “The Vocal Bible,” she has built a true legacy for herself. Now, over 30 years since her debut album, she’s releasing her first book, a memoir called “Phases.” The book will be released following her “The Boy Is Mind Tour,” which is co-headlining with Monica.

Norwood first announced the book in January, and it was initially slated for a fall release. However, due to preparing for the tour and shooting a couple of movies, the release date has been pushed back to March 31, 2026. She took to her social media on September 17 to show the cover art and to reveal the title.

Norwood wrote, “I’m so excited to reveal the cover of my new memoir, PHASES.” The “Borderline” singer continued, “This project has been such a personal journey for me, and seeing it come to fruition like this feels surreal. Life has taken me through so many highs and lows, twists and turns, and each phase has shaped who I am today.”

She then said, “I hope my story resonates with you, reminding us all that even in the toughest times, there’s light on the other side. Let’s embrace every phase together! Norwood Announced Her Tour in June

Norwood keeps a relatively low profile these days, despite many of her diehard fans wanting her to be more visible in the public eye. As a result, there was considerable excitement when she and Monica announced to CBS News on June 24 that they would be embarking on the “Boy Is Mine Tour.”

Initially, the tour consisted of 24 dates. The tour also included Kelly Rowland, Muni Long, and Jamal Roberts from “American Idol.” However, due to popular demand, they have added several more dates to the tour.

Norwood told CBS Mornings, “They were trying to get us to do a tour since ’98, and it just finally felt like the right time. It was a dream come true.”

She Has New Movies In the Works

Despite maintaining a relatively low profile, Norwood remains a busy individual. According to Deadline, she’s set to star in the upcoming Lifetime Christmas film, “Christmas Every Day.” Notably, this is also the title of one of the songs from her 2023 holiday album, “Christmas With Brandy.” The song will be featured in the movie.

Additionally, she will be featured in “Descendants: Wicked Wonderland,” scheduled for release in 2026.
