Dolores Catania & Paul Connell’s Shocking Home Robbery & Its Silver Lining

“The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Dolores Catania and boyfriend Paul “Paulie” Connell have revealed an unpleasant incident that occurred while they were in Rhode Island. When they returned home, they discovered that thieves had been at their house.

“Our house got broken into last week … or two weeks ago,” Catania said on an appearance on SiriusXM’s “Jeff Lewis Live” on October 6. But perhaps their method of entry is the most shocking aspect of this break-in. “They came in with a blowtorch,” she revealed.

As for what they had been up to when the crime happened? “We were in Rhode Island, and as I told you before, I would be doing some cameos on the new [Real] Housewives of Rhode Island, and we were filming,” Catania said. “Paulie had his phone off, and he was performing for everyone there.”

Connell’s son called and informed them of the news. He also shared more information in his interview on “Jeff Lewis Live,” saying, “Apparently, they came in with a blowtorch. They broke the window. They heated it so it wouldn’t set off the alarm. So it shatters without setting off the alarm.”

There is a small silver lining to this story: none of the couple’s belongings were stolen. The police also responded very quickly to the incident. “They were inside the house for about a minute and something,” Connell said. “They [spent] eight minutes trying to get in because they used this torch because the glass was tempered. So rather than smash the glass and set off the alarm, they heat it.”

This is not the first time that Catania has been the victim of a crime, and in October 2022, she revealed that her Porsche was stolen from Connell’s driveway in Edgewater, New Jersey. At the time of the incident, an insider shared more information with Page Six.

“Dolores is determined to find her car with the help of authorities,” an insider said, Page Six reports. “She is aggravated but also really shaken up over the fact that someone would steal it right out of Paulie’s driveway.”

A follow-up story also revealed that Catania’s car had been found, but it was totaled. “The car was involved in a chase and the occupants of the car crashed into a pole,” Connell told Page Six on October 29, 2022. “We believe there were arrests made when the car finally came to a stop, but not sure of the exact details. The car is totaled. It looks like possibly one of the occupants was injured — or two of them.”
