Dolores Catania took to social media to give a major RHONJ update as Season 15 begins filming.
The reality television star, who has been a full-time cast member on the series since Season 7, shared the news on Instagram. Her update added to the buzz surrounding the start of filming for Season 15.
Dolores Catania is ‘Back’ in New Social Media Post
On May 17, 2026, RHONJ star Dolores Catania declared she was “back.”
The reality star shared a trio of new images where she looked very glam and gorgeous. She captioned the photos, “Back in my housewife era.”
This declaration means that the longtime Bravo star has begun filming the newest season of RHONJ. Joining her are former co-stars Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice.
In the new photos, Catania wore a sleeveless black top. She paired that with a satin skirt with black lace accents. She added chunky silver bracelets, a watch, a thin gold bracelet, and her diamond engagement ring from Paul Connell.
In the comments section of Catania’s social media post, fans shared their delight to learn that the RHONJ cast was filming again after two years, during which there was no new cast content.
“Big things happening in New Jersey,” wrote one follower. Mindy Cohn, who starred in “The Facts of Life” and “Palm Royale,” exclaimed, “Finally!”
A third follower wrote, “You took my breath away, wow!” A fourth fan noted that Catania was, “Beautiful inside and out.”
Why Was RHONJ on Hiatus For So Long?
A tumultuous ending to Season 14 led the stars of RHONJ to be split into two camps. Tensions were so high that the cast reportedly could not film together in the same room.
Season 14 starred Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, Dolores Catania, Margaret Josephs, Jennifer Aydin, Danielle Cabral, and Rachel Fuda. Jackie Goldschneider and Jennifer Fessler appeared as friends of the housewives.
RHONJ Executive Producer Andy Cohen told The Hollywood Reporter that the network decided that there would be no definitive reunion episode after the explosive finale episode.
“It is one of those classic Jersey finales that people will be talking about for a long time to come,” he said. “When all of us producers saw the last cut of the finale, we all came to the decision separately, and then we talked. We all had the same thought, which is that the finale is kind of the finale and the reunion all in one.”
“This final epic group encounter feels like the Last Supper and is just so Jersey. When you see it, I think that you’ll feel complete. I really do.”
Indeed, the episode displayed such toxicity between the castmates that filming for Season 15 was put on an indefinite pause following its release.
The season finale of Season 14 of RHONJ aired on August 11, 2024. For almost two years, there was no new content from the beloved reality franchise.
Then, on March 24, 2026, it was announced that the series would return to Bravo. The network shared, “Additional cast members will be announced at a later date, and production is set to begin this spring.”
There is no confirmed return date for when new episodes of RHONJ will air.
