Bravo TV star Dorit Kemsley set the record straight on her finances. In a new interview, “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star told Entertainment Tonight that her estranged husband PK Kemsley’s comments about her lavish spending are not completely fair, but that she hopes they can come together for an amicable divorce.
“That’s definitely not the truth,” Dorit told the outlet when asked about PK’s claims that she’s spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on luxury items amid their split.
“Obviously, I work and everything that I buy, everything that I spend is money I’ve earned,” she explained, before admitting that she “absolutely” spends big bucks on designer items.
“I wouldn’t even say no,” the mom of two admitted. “But my choice, whatever I decide to do, it’s my choice. It’s my money.”
Dorit, who is doing press for her upcoming memoir “Unburdened,” due out June 2, noted that she has not asked PK to pick up the tab for her spending in “many, many years.”
PK Kemsley Made a Bold Claim About Dorit’s Spending
Dorit’s finances have been a big part of her RHOBH storyline. In May 2026, TMZ reported that in court documents, PK claimed that Dorit, with whom she shares children Jagger and Phoenix, spent nearly $1 million on “high-end designer clothing, handbags, and accessories.”
Dorit admitted that she did spend money on luxury items, but took issue with the insinuation that she asked her ex to pay for it.
When asked by Extra TV if she spent one million dollars on clothes and travel, Dorit replied, “No.”
She added, “Listen, this has been a court document, you know, that’s been filed. Obviously, I’m going to have a response to it. And when you’re in litigation, you have to sort of follow the legal process. So, I think there’ll be answers to everything. But, you know, when you hear one version or one narrative, there’s always another side. Do I love fashion? Yes. Do I spend a lot of money on clothes, expensive clothes, designer clothes? Yes, it is my choice. It’s also my money. It’s my money that I earn, that I work for, not his money.”
Despite the money drama, Dorit revealed she wants nothing more than to have a good relationship with the father of her children.
“If I had it my way, we’ll be able to have an amicable divorce and come out with some type of peaceful, respectful friendship relationship so that we can effectively co-parent,” the RHOBH star said. “That would be my dream. My dream.”
Dorit Kemsley Thinks She’d Be Financially Sound Without RHOBH
It is unclear if Dorit will return for Season 16 of RHOBH. But she told ET she would “like to think” she would be financially sound even without the show.
“And thank God a million times I have the ability to work,” she added. “I don’t think that will ever lessen, I can’t be driven by fear. Period. You know, I believe in myself.”
“Even separating, you know, I went to work,” she added. “It was like, okay, I need to go to work. I need to support these kids.”
