Will Jen Shah Return to RHOSLC? Here’s What Andy Cohen Said

A “Real Housewives” star is celebrating her early prison release—and it has fans wondering if she’ll be back to Bravo.

In November 2025, People magazine reported that former Salt Lake City Housewife Jen Shah will be released from prison on Dec. 10, 2025. The Bravo TV alum served just two-and-a half years of a six-and-a-half-year prison sentence at Bryan Federal Prison Camp in Texas, and will now be home with her family for the holidays amid the approval from the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

“It’s a gift she doesn’t take for granted,” Shah’s manager, Chris Giovanni, said in a statement to the outlet. “She’s done a lot of reflecting and real growth during her time away and is genuinely not the same woman as she was before.”

Shah, who was an original cast member on RHOSLC when it debuted in November 2020, is “excited to put this chapter behind her so that she can show everyone the woman she’s worked hard to become,” Giovanni added.

Andy Cohen Had a Strong Opinion About Jen Shah Before Her Prison Sentence Was Drastically Reduced

As an executive producer for RHOSLC, Andy Cohen is heavily involved in casting decisions for the franchise. In an interview with Deadline in November 2024, he addressed speculation that Shah could someday return to the Utah-based reality show.

“I mean, Jen is incarcerated,“ he said last year. “I don’t know when she’s getting out, so I think that seems off the table.”

Cohen previously explained that he was turned off by Shah’s involvement in a telemarketing scheme and also by the stipulations she had set for a planned one-on-one interview with him before her sentencing in January 2023.

“I had forgotten about the one-on-one with Jen,” he said on his Sirius XM show Andy Cohen Live in 2024. “I did want to do a one-on-one with her, I don’t care about it anymore. I’m over it.”

More recently, Cohen shared his thoughts about Shah during a taping of “Watch What Happens Live.” In a video posted from a Q&A with audience members in September, Cohen was asked if there was any chance of Shah returning to the “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” franchise.

“Jen Shah, I never want to see again,” he declared.

But shortly after he made that comment, a post on Shah’s Instagram story hinted that she cleared the air with Bravo bosses. “From management: A respectful conversation has already been had with Bravo behind the scenes and there are no hard feelings.”

Fans have also reacted to the news about Shah’s early release on Instagram. Some felt the mom of two should be given another chance.

“Bring her back!” one fan wrote.

“If they don’t cast Jen Shah back it is a mistake,” another agreed.

“She needs just a one episode special, I want to hear her speak!!” a third chimed in.

Other fans feel RHOSLC is doing just fine with its current Season 6 cast, which includes Heather Gay, Meredith Marks, Lisa Barlow, Whitney Rose, Mary Cosby, Angie Katsanevas, Bronwyn Newport, and Britanie Bateman.

  1. Never consider Jen shaw for a job. She hurt many old people, ,was crazy like she did nothing wrong. We watched that behavior.
Shattered and humiliated her husband and son. The show is great as is. No more chances. She should be happy she’s out and free.

  2. She lied about her involvement until she the very end, knowing she was lying…to EVERYONE. Glad she has evolved, but NO the fans do not want to see her back.
