One person said, “It often comes across as hyperbole when you say, “This person was the best of us,” especially when describing a celebrity. This time, I’m comfortable saying Dolly Parton truly was the best of us.”
Someone else wrote of the songstress, “That woman possessed a talent few could ever imagine. She was made of music, light, of sparkle, generosity, grit and wit. Salt of the earth who brought levity and honesty to her character, which honestly was just herself. The legendary Dolly Parton. May she RIP.”
A different X user said, “Absolutely devastating news.” Lastly, another fan said in Tilly’s comments section, “She was the epitome of pure awesomeness.”
Another Bravo personality, “Real Housewives of New Jersey” alum Margaret Josephs, also took to Instagram to comment on Parton’s passing. She wrote, “Devastated about the loss of Dolly Parton

Dolly Parton’s Family Released a Statement on Her Passing
GettyParton’s nephew, Bryan Seaver, told the world of her death on August 25 via a video posted to her social media channels. He began, “My name is Bryan Seaver, son of Cassie Parton, and I’m representing the Parton and Owens family today, announcing the passing of my aunt, Dolly Rebecca Parton Dean, Sister, Sis and Granny to one generation and Gigi to the next.”
He continued, revealing that the video came at his aunt’s request. According to him, “This video announcement is something Dolly asked of me years ago, before I fully absorbed it as a future reality. As her head of security for more than two decades, a role my father Larry held before me, I have imagined the heaviness of this moment but haven’t truly felt it until now.”
Seaver then said, “It is an honor, an honor that is mixed with absolute pride and great sadness. But sadness lies with us, not with Dolly. Dolly has lived in the light and is in the arms of Jesus, surely met by Carl, her parents, and countless others who have watched her and longed to meet her in the heavens.”
In the end, he stated, “Rest in peace, Aunt Dolly — Aunt, Granny, Gigi. May God bless Dolly Parton, and may God bless you all. She will always love you.”
