Longtime fans of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” remember the deep and loving bond Joe Giudice shared with his father, Frank Giudice. His sudden passing in 2014 shook the entire family and was particularly devastating for Joe.
Joe recently marked 11 years without his dad, who was known for his energetic spirit and deep devotion to his family. In an Instagram post, Joe chose to remember him by sharing a season 2 clip from the Giudice family’s trip to Italy, a moment that captured his father surrounded by loved ones in the city where he was raised.
Joe Giudice Marks 11 Years Since His Father’s Passing, Sharing Special RHONJ Clip
Joe Giudice is commemorating 11 years since the passing of his father, Frank Giudice, with an emotional trip down memory lane. Joe chose to remember his dad by sharing one of his favorite memories from his time on “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” which included a family trip to Italy, shown in season 2.
In the clip, Joe’s mother, who is standing beside Jacqueline and Chris Laurita, and her husband, Frank, shares that the church they see in front of them is where she and Frank got married, on February 22, 1969. Next to her is her son Joe, who appears visibly proud to be there, taking in the moment as he shares his family’s Italian heritage with family and friends.
“Today marks 11 years without my father. I think back to that scene we filmed together in Italy on The Housewives — just one moment on camera, but now it means so much more,” he began his caption.
“He was born in Italy and came to the United States not knowing a word of English… and he still managed to put our whole family on the map. Everything we have today started with his sacrifice, his work ethic, and his courage to start over in a new country,” Joe wrote, ending his post with, “Time goes fast — I wish we could go back to those days. Love you forever, Dad. Thank you for everything. 🇮🇹❤️🇺🇸”
According to TMZ, Frank died in June 2014 after collapsing in the garden of Joe and his former wife, Teresa Giudice’s New Jersey home. At the time, it was reported that he suffered a heart attack. He was 63.
It was a devastating loss for Joe and his family, and the aftermath was captured on RHONJ. The tragedy came during a particularly difficult time, as the former couple was awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to federal fraud charges.
Giudice’s Life in the Bahamas
After being deported from the United States following his prison sentence, Giudice chose to make the Bahamas his home, so he could be closer to his four daughters, whom he shares with Teresa.
In August 2025, Joe joined his daughter Gia Giudice on her “Casual Chaos” podcast to share insight into his career in the Caribbean. Surprisingly, his construction skills have helped him carve out a successful living, though he revealed he was interested in a totally different career path.
“I am working on construction. I’m getting a lot of things in the works with construction. And I’m just waiting on a couple of big things to come through, and hopefully they come through so I can get back into the real estate [business],” he shared.
He continued, “I would love to get back into the real estate game out here because that’s what I love doing. And I mean, the real estate out here is very good. I could definitely see myself getting back into it out here, for sure. And even if I’m allowed back over there (Stateside), I’ll definitely be here working with real estate… You know what I mean?”
However, Joe continues to do everything in his power to return to the U.S., longing to be closer to his family and friends.

I think if he and his four daughters try everything in their power to contact President Trump, like the Christlys daughter did. I think that President would grant him back into our country as ling as he became a citizen of the USA.After the Christlys were also in jail. But Trump is a good guy. He’ll see that Joe was a great family man. And who knows maybe Joe would be working with Trump. Stranger things have happened. I’ll start praying for Joe that you can come back to the states. And be with your 4 daughters. And your brothers and sisters, and your mom. We all love you Joe and we’re praying for the President to let you back in the country. Let your daughters do the fighting for you like Christlys daughter did for both of her parents.
If you need a signature We would be glad to sign our name. We voted for Trump and are great supporters of Trump. We all want you back in the states too. We all know how much you love your daughters and in this day and age all girls need their dad. So girls start working for your dads return to the states. My advice to you girls is to get in touch with Christlys daughter and find out what and who you go to first. Start making noise for your dad and maybe you’ll be a Republican and 100% for Trump. He is a great President, and he’ll listen, and he’s a dad of 5 and loves all of his kids. Just never give up. Especially you Gia who is now out of college . Put all of your efforts into getting your dad back in the USA. Like I said get in touch with Christlys daughter. She fought day and night to get both of her parents pardon. So as our great President Trump said when he got shit, FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT!!!!! NEVER GIVE UP!!!
Correction shot not shit…
