During BravoCon 2025, “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” stars Teresa Giudice, Melissa, and Joe Gorga confirmed that they had put their feud aside and reconciled after years of tension. The families proved that there was no bad blood between them as they spent Christmas together, with Teresa even seen trying one of her sister-in-law’s famous Sprinkle Cookies.
The Gorgas recently joined Teresa’s daughter, Gia Giudice, on her “Casual Chaos” podcast, where they opened up about finally putting their families’ long-running estrangement behind them. For Joe, the especially meaningful moment was receiving a text from his sister that ultimately brought the family back together.
Joe Gorga Shares How a Text From Teresa Giudice Led to Their Reconciliation
Joe Gorga spoke candidly about how his sister, Teresa Giudice, took the first step in mending their years-long feud. Speaking on his niece, Gia Giudice’s “Casual Chaos” podcast alongside his wife, Melissa Gorga, Joe reflected on the text message that eventually led to a private meeting, where the families were able to put aside their conflict and find a resolution.
When Gia asked her uncle how he felt when he received a text from Teresa, he initially thought, “Is this real? This is my sister?”
Joe continued, “I answered it right away. That’s exactly what I wanted. I wanted to answer it. It’s not me. I always wanted her in my life, no matter what we did. We had an argument. She’s still my sister. I’m a man. I’m different. I want to protect her. But she pushed me away. She was going through life, and I can’t blame her because she went through a lot of things in life. She’s still a woman. She left her four children. It was tough on her.”
Joe told Gia that receiving that text was “the best moment,” adding, “It really was. It was a great moment to receive that text.”
He then reflected on the day the two sat down to talk and hash things out, revealing that it was best that he and Teresa not discuss the past, because it would just lead to conflict.
“When we met, it was just like, ‘Listen. I love you. I don’t want to hear nothing. I don’t want to talk about it. I don’t even care. It’s over. Let’s move on.’ And that’s what we have to do. Move on.”
Fans later learned at BravoCon 2025 in November that Teresa, Joe, and Melissa had mended their relationship.
Teresa Reveals How She & Melissa Are Staying United Moving Forward
GettySpeaking on her “Turning the Tables” podcast, Teresa revealed that after she and Melissa sat down to hash everything out, they struck a pact designed to keep the peace and avoid falling into old patterns.
“We both told each other, any bloggers out there that are saying anything negative — we’re both going to unfollow them,” she began. “If anyone’s saying anything negative about my brother or Melissa, like, I’m unfollowing them. [And] vice versa.”
Teresa continued, “Because … we are a force. We don’t want any negativity. And I think that’s the way we should be going forward.”
Melissa, for her part, is hopeful that the peace she and her husband have made with Teresa will last. Speaking on the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast in February, she shared, “You know what? I think it needs to last. And if it doesn’t, then shame on all of us, right? Shame on all of us if we can’t pull this through. Life’s too short.”
In March, Bravo confirmed that Teresa and Melissa will be returning for season 15 of RHONJ, along with Dolores Catania. The three women will be joined by new Housewives who have yet to be revealed. Filming for the new season will begin this spring.
