Katie Ginella of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” has been under fire during season 19 for talking to “bloggers,” particularly a woman named Kiki Monique.
The reality star has been accused of spreading rumors to Monique about fellow Housewife Gretchen Rossi, which Katie adamantly denied.
In a September 4 appearance on “The Viall Files,” the former golf correspondent said she didn’t see anything wrong with talking to so-called “bloggers” because she and her husband, Matt Ginella, are in the media business.
“We eloped with some people, some friends, and three of those people are quote unquote bloggers. They’re journalists and actual ones … so it’s not weird for me to have these relationships,” Katie said.
The mom of four continued, “The guy that is helping me write my book now would be considered a journalist, a blogger.”
“The fact that I’m friendly with people in the media is not weird to me in the space that my husband and I exist in,” Katie added.
However, Katie shared that moving forward, she’d be more careful of who she talks to. “I have taken kind of a step back. I don’t trust anybody. I do feel used. But I also made some rookie mistakes that I shouldn’t have made concerning quote unquote bloggers,” she admitted.
Katie Ginella Felt ‘Gutted’ About Losing Her ‘RHOC’ Friend Over Drama
Katie and fellow “RHOC” star, Jennifer Pedranti, bonded during season 18 over their divorces and raising kids as single moms.
During season 19, however, the two drifted apart amid the drama surrounding Rossi, and Katie shared during her interview with “The Viall Files” how devastated she was over the rift.
“It is really hurtful because the reason you saw me go, ‘Jen, like, come on,’ is because she was there and she could have backed me up and given me some accountability with these ladies, and that hurt,” Katie said.
She continued, “I left that Persian New Year party gutted.” Ginella added that she cried for days after Emily Simpson’s party, and said of her friendship with Pedranti, “We do not speak.”
Katie and Tamra Judge Have Gotten Closer After ‘RHOC’ Season 19
Although Katie is on the outs with the “RHOC” cast, she and Tamra Judge have become allies. After the episode she gets kicked out of Simpson’s Persian party, Katie shared a shot of her outfit and wrote, “Another waste of a good dress.”
Judge replied with, “Girl that dress was [fire].” When a “RHOC” fan asked Judge if she and Ginella were okay, the former CUT Fitness owner replied, “Yes.”
A fan replied, “Tamra and Katie is the duo we really need to shake these gurls up and make them work! Literally, they would have nothing to talk about if you two weren’t there. Queens of Orange County.”
