Kyle Richards is reflecting on her once-rocky friendship with former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” co-star Lisa Vanderpump. The two were famously close before their season 9 epic “GOODBYE KYLE” fallout, but Richards recently surprised fans by speaking warmly about Vanderpump — a rare move considering their history.

During an Amazon Live stream on October 22, Richards was asked to name “five nice things” about Vanderpump. Without hesitation, she delivered a string of compliments.
“She’s very funny,” Richards said. “She’s very smart. She’s beautiful. She is a very good businesswoman. And I bet she’d be a good grandmother.”
Richards then acknowledged their turbulent past. “Listen, LVP and I have had our issues, and obviously, in doing a show like this, it doesn’t always bring out the best in people,” she admitted. “If that weren’t a part of it, I could maybe see things differently.”
She added, “Of course, I have my negative takeaways. But also there are many great, great qualities to Lisa Vanderpump — absolutely.”
The moment stood out for fans who remember the explosive “Puppygate” drama that ended Vanderpump’s run on the Bravo series and fractured their longtime friendship.

Despite the kind words, Richards hasn’t changed her stance on reconciling. During another Amazon Live in December 2024, she made it clear that she isn’t interested in offering the apology Vanderpump once said would be necessary to move forward.
“LVP said that it would have to start with an apology and — by the way — no one’s asking to, sorry,” Richards said. “So don’t hold your breath. Happy holidays.”
Richards also shared that she recently bumped into Vanderpump and her husband, Ken Todd, in October 2024. “I did see her recently, actually,” she explained. “And I said ‘Hi’ and she was with Ken. That was not long ago, maybe a month or so, and she was actually friendly. Ken’s always — he gives a kiss or whatever. She’s a little colder, but it was an interesting encounter. It did not go badly. I will say that.”

Even though their dynamic remains complicated, Vanderpump still had thoughts when she learned Richards had looked at a home right across the street from her. Appearing on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” on May 1, Vanderpump recalled the near-miss.
“This house is 15-foot from me. She went there four times,” Vanderpump told Andy Cohen. “This house used to be Channing Tatum’s. I used to have a plan to dig a tunnel underneath the road to get to Channing Tatum. But he sold it. And then Kyle, like, trying to buy it. Like, why would you go there four times? Like, why doesn’t she ask to stay in my guest bedroom or something?”

Sorry girls but it was Dorit who started all of the trouble she said the dog she got from Vanderpump bit one of her kids. And then that really mean girl Lisa Renna had absolutely no business getting involved and the other mean girl Erica also got involved. So yes the biggest one was Mean girl Kyle who turned on her best friend and believed the lies they all spewed. Kyle can’t get along with her own sisters. Whom she threw under the bus. And even her husband had had enough of her bullshit. So Andy Cohan revamp the whole show with all new ladies. Once Garcelle left the show cause of the gang up on her. The show sucks for sure. 2 classy woman were bullied off of your show. Lisa Vanderpump and Garcelle B. We the viewers will not be watching your show anymore. Speak for yourself! I will continue to watch The Housewives of Beverly Hills. Lisa Vanderpump is a very beautiful and smart woman. She has excelled in all of her business dealings but her and Kyle could never go back to the same friendship that they had before. Too much has happened since then. Ken should have stayed out of it. As for you saying Kyle’s husband has even had enough of her, you’re wrong. Kyle asked for the separation! You know what you’re getting with Lisa Rinna! She doesn’t talk behind a person’s back. She’ll say what she has to say to your face. Erica is the same way. I’d rather know where a person stands up front instead of talking about people behind their back!
