Former “The Real Housewives of Orange County” star Lauri Peterson’s daughter, Ashley Zarlin, found a sentimental way to celebrate Mother’s Day this year by trying on her mother’s stunning vintage wedding dress.
With Zarlin set to marry her fiancé, Adam Huebner, this summer, the special moment was the perfect way to get into the spirit of wedding season while also honoring her mom. In photos on Instagram, Lauri’s nearly 20-year-old gown fits like a glove.
In fact, it wasn’t only Ashley who modeled her mom’s dress. While Lauri also put her dress back on, it was even more special when the former RHOC star’s granddaughter, Kennady, also tried it on.
“Three generations…One vintage wedding dress! ❤️❤️❤️ On Mother’s Day, Ashley said “Let’s all try on your wedding dress”! So here we are inspired by Ash & Adam’s upcoming nuptials!” Lauri’s caption read.
“Ahh this is just so special 😍,” Gretchen Rossi commented. “This is so beautiful,” Vicki Gunvalson wrote.
Kennady, who was born in 2012, is the daughter of Lauri’s late son, Josh Waring. According to People, Waring sadly passed away on March 31, 2024, from an accidental drug overdose. He was 35.
In 2015, Bravo reported that Lauri and her husband, George Peterson, officially adopted Kennady before his death, as he continued to struggle with addiction.
Zarlin Got Engaged in the Same Rose Garden Where Her Parents Married
According to The Knot, Zarlin’s fiancé popped the question in a very special and meaningful place. Huebner got down on one knee to ask for Zarlin’s hand in marriage in her parents’ rose garden, the same place where Lauri and George had their fairytale wedding in 2007.
“[The proposal] was very intimate; exactly how I wanted it,” Zarlin told the outlet. “When I saw him in my parents’ rose garden—especially knowing that we already had their blessing, which meant everything to me—I wasn’t nervous. I felt calm and excited about the fact that [this chapter] was beginning,” she added.
The couple is set to tie the knot this summer, and ahead of the big day, Zarlin recently shared photos of her dreamy bridal shower held in May. In an Instagram post, which showcased the beautiful details of her celebration, Zarlin thanked her mom for making the day feel so special.
“Still not over a single detail from my bridal shower 🤍 my mom put so much love into every part of it and somehow made it even more beautiful than I imagined I feel so lucky to be loved like this🤍,” she captioned her video.
Also sharing several photos of that day, she shared, “There was a time I wondered if it would ever be my turn 🤍 and now I’m standing in a season I used to pray for. For anyone still waiting, no matter the age…don’t give up 🤍 what God has for you is always worth the wait.”
