Vicki Gunvalson Celebrates Son’s Milestone 40th Birthday

Bravo fans have continued to follow “The Real Housewives of Orange County” OG Vicki Gunvalson on social media, even during her time away from the spotlight as a main cast member โ€” though that’s set to change with her highly anticipated return for season 20.

In the meantime, fans keep up with Gunvalson on Instagram, where she regularly shares personal updates about her life and family, including her children. Most recently, the reality TV star posted a heartfelt tribute to her son, Michael Wolfsmith, celebrating his milestone 40th birthday.

Vicki Gunvalson Shares Loving Message for Son Michael Wolfsmith on His 40th Birthday

Longtime fans of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” might be shocked to realize that Vicki Gunvalson’s son, Michael Wolfsmith, who has made many appearances on the show over the years, has officially hit the big 4-0.

Gunvalson marked the milestone with a heartfelt tribute to her son on Instagram, sharing a collection of photos that captured Wolfsmith through the years, from vacations with the family to working alongside his mom at Coto Insurance, where he now serves as vice president.

“40 years ago today, I became a mother for the first time at just 23 years old,” the caption to her post began. “I remember how exciting it was being a young mom and imagining that one day Iโ€™d be young enough to truly enjoy life with my adult children. And here we are โ€” it all happened so fast.”

She continued, “I am so proud ofย @mikewolfsmithย and the man he has become. He has surpassed every expectation โ€” traveling the world while becoming one of the top life insurance agents in the country. His work ethic makes me proud every single day.”

“Keep spreading your wings, my son. Be careful, be safe, and know how much I miss you when youโ€™re away. Thank you for always staying in touch. ๐Ÿ’™Happy 40th Birthday โ€” I love you more than words can say,” she ended her post.

Wolfsmith Moved to Europe

While speaking on her “My Friend, My Soulmate, My Podcast,” in December 2024, Gunvalson revealed that her son was now living abroad, even taking his 14 year old pug, Walter, with him.

“Michael works for me and he’s able to do his business remotely no matter where he is. So he had a bug up his [expletive] after being in Spain this summer for three months and he wanted to move to Spain for, I think it’s two or four years. He had to do all those nomad Visa and this tax stuff. He had to get Walter’s papers, Walter’s 14. So it’s actually quite funny,” she shared.

Gunvalson added that Wolfsmith even urged his mom to consider moving to Europe. “He’s like, ‘Mom, they don’t have any chemicals in their food and the life is better here. I walk and I do this and I don’t need a car.’ So we’re turning his company car in next week,” she continued. “I don’t know, it’s like he needs to live his best life and he is. It’s just crazy to me he moved to Europe.”

Wolfsmith’s Instagram is filled with his many adventures aboard, having lived in Ibiza, Spain, and most recently, he shared that he lived in Switzerland for a month and a half. Sadly, in July 2025, Wolfsmith shared that Walter passed away at the age of 15.

  1. I was so disappointed when I read Vicki is coming back to the real housewives franchise. Her obnoxious loud shrill voice grate on my last nerve. Her bossy attitude is way off level for the importance she thinks she has but doesnโ€™t. Her always demanding she controls and basically owns the show is beyond ridiculous and her self promoting of her insurance company is over the top! Why bravo to you chose to make our lives miserable and yours she is already trying to take over by saying things about this one should be replaced and another one should never been hired. All I can say is good luck donโ€™t know how long I can stick around for the ride!
