Memorial Day 2026 is here, and soap opera fans can expect a few changes to the daytime TV lineup. While some shows will air brand-new episodes, others may be preempted or air reruns due to the holiday schedule. ‘The Bold & the Beautiful’
“The Bold and the Beautiful” will remain on its regular schedule this Memorial Day, May 25. CBS is set to air a brand-new episode, launching the week with more high-fashion drama as Katie Logan (Heather Tom) presses Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) for a final decision about joining the Logan fashion house.
Meanwhile, a summer soiree brings Will Spencer (Crew Morrow) and Electra Forrester (Laneya Grace) closer. Will they finally give their love another chance?
‘The Young & the Restless’
“The Young and the Restless” will not air a new episode on Monday, May 25. Instead, the CBS sudser takes viewers back to a 2019 episode when Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) makes a dangerous decision.
Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) plots her revenge against Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) past catches up with her. Plus, romance blooms for Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy).
“The Young and the Restless” resumes regular programming on Tuesday, May 26, with Victor gaining leverage against Phyllis, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) telling Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) about Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) pregnancy, and Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) making a distress call about Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).
‘Beyond the Gates’
Similarly, “Beyond the Gates” will take a break on Memorial Day. Instead, the CBS soap will run an encore of the previous episode with commentary from the actors.
The soap will resume its regular programming on Tuesday, May 26. Fans can expect to see Bill ordering Tomas to stand down, and Nicole confiding her fantasies to Kial. Meanwhile, Joey gives Donnell what he wants, and Deanna’s blast from the past has a mission for her to accomplish. Plus, Leslie is worried the plasma ring’s reach could impact her.
‘General Hospital’
‘General Hospital’ will also not air a new episode on Memorial Day. ABC will broadcast a repeat episode from November 3, 2025, where Anna is in danger, Gio is the voice of reason, Alexis supports Danny, Sonny arranges a private meeting with Justine, and Felicia and Spinelli are relieved.
On Tuesday, the soap will air its regular schedule. Lulu and Dante come to an agreement, Carly makes a plea, Kristina gets big news, Chase and Joe pursue a lead, and Sidwell shares a theory with Ava.
‘Days of Our Lives’
“Days of Our Lives” will air a new episode on Memorial Day, as the soap streams digitally on Peacock and is not subject to traditional holiday preemption rules.
On Monday, Philip opens up to Brady, Amy is crushed by what’s recovered from the river, Jennifer and Jack have a heart-to-heart about their children, and JJ returns home. Plus, Gabi and Gwen commiserate, and Sarah tries to change Xander’s mind.
