“The Young and the Restless” star Lucas Adams, who plays the new Noah Newman, opened up about his character’s illicit affair with Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun).
Soap enthusiasts know that Adams and Braun played mother and son, Ava and Tripp, on “Days of Our Lives.” But now, they’re taking a completely different route, this time, as lovers.

GettyIn an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Adams revealed that he did not know about the shocking plot twist until after he booked the role as Noah on “The Young and the Restless.” He added that Braun called him first to break the news.
“Tamara had given me the call because she had found out, so she called me up and said, ‘Hey, so I think I have to stop calling you my son for the most part,'” the actor explained. “So I was like, ‘Ah, okay.’ That’s a lot of fun. A little bit of a twist to the relationship, there!”
When he heard that he was going to have a love affair with his former on-screen mom, Adams admitted he found it hilarious.
“I think I laughed for a good second,” the “DOOL” alum recalled. “Just because we’ve been so close for so long as the mother and son duo. So it was kind of really funny to hear, but it was also exciting just to get to work with Tamara again, too.”
Adams also revealed that he and Braun had to sit down and brainstorm on how to approach their new roles as lovers. The actor said they discussed Noah and Sienna’s relationship in general, and how they will do the scenes differently.
The soap star lauded Braun for being a “pro,” especially when it comes to crafting their new characters.

Adams also talked about Noah’s affair with Sienna. “The Young and the Restless” star said the relationship is complicated, given the fact that Sienna has a husband, Mitch.
“I think it started off as a casual thing,” Adam added. “And then it has become deeper than he intended it to be. Getting involved in an affair with a married man’s wife, and the man that you’re getting involved with is not the nicest of people. Not the best time. Makes it a little complicated.”
Despite the nature of their relationship and his desire to keep it a secret, Adams said he doesn’t regret his actions.
“I don’t think he’s ashamed of it at all,” the actor explained. “I think he feels kind of bad about the affair in general; I think that’s just him being who he is. But I don’t think he is trying to hide it from his family, necessarily.”
