CBS viewers are in for a double-dose of reality TV this fall as the network confirms that “Survivor” and “The Amazing Race” will both return with 90-minute episodes later this year.
The news comes as the network reveals its full Fall 2026 schedule, including the return of hit scripted series like “NCIS,” “Matlock” and “Tracker” alongside new seasons of both “Survivor” and “The Amazing Race” on Wednesday nights.
‘Survivor 51’ and ‘The Amazing Race 39’ Airtimes Revealed
CBS/GettyWhile the currently-airing 50th season of “Survivor” has witnessed varied episode lengths, including two-hour and even three-hour installments following its premiere in February, the Emmy-winning reality competition series will return to its tried and true 90-minute format this fall.
New episodes of the show’s 51st season will still air on Wednesday nights starting at 8:00pm ET, followed by new episodes of “The Amazing Race” Season 39 starting at 9:30pm ET.
We still know very little about the forthcoming seasons of both shows, though leaks and rumors are bound to start pouring in as both series begin filming this spring/summer.
If previous years’ schedules hold true, “Survivor 51” will likely premiere on or around Wednesday, September 17, 2026, with the premiere of “The Amazing Race” Season 39 airing the following week (Wednesday, September 24).
“Mark your calendar, the CBS Fall 2026 schedule is here,” wrote the network on Instagram, adding, “You’re not going to want to miss this – we’ll meet you there!”
