“The Bachelor” star Joey Graziadei and his fiancée Kelsey Anderson are busy planning their wedding, which they’ve shared with fans will take place in the spring of 2027. The couple has openly discussed how they do not want to rush the wedding process, making sure that they’ve included every important element for their special day.
In a recent interview on the “Heal Squad x Maria Menounos” podcast, Anderson opened up about her and Graziadei’s wedding preparations, including the importance of honoring those they’ve lost, especially Anderson’s mother, who passed away in 2018 after a courageous battle with breast cancer.
Kelsey Anderson Shares Wedding Tribute Plans With Joey Graziadei
GettySpeaking with Maria Menounos on her “Heal Squad” podcast, “The Bachelor” winner, Kelsey Anderson, shared more insight into her wedding planning with fiancé Joey Graziadei. She shared that one of the most meaningful aspects of their big day will be honoring the loved ones they’ve lost, especially Anderson’s mother.
“I’ve been trying to think of little things that I could do. My mom and dad, they eloped, so she never had a wedding dress, so there’s not a dress that I could really wear or anything. I’ve been trying to think of little gestures or things that I could do. I know that I wanna honor a lot of people that aren’t with us anymore,” she said.
Anderson added that for Graziadei, he will be honoring his grandmother by having her flower girl’s holding her favorite flowers: carnations.
However, it’s a little more difficult for Anderson to find something to honor her mother, but she did state that she loved certain colors together, which Anderson could certainly incorporate in her wedding.
“I don’t remember my mom having a favorite flower. She loved pink and orange together, and she loved green and blue together. But she didn’t have a particular [flower] I feel like. She loved a good color combo… But I’ve been trying to think of little things that honor the people we love that aren’t able to be at our wedding presently anymore,” she added.
Anderson Shares a Touching Tribute to Her Late Mom
In February, Anderson shared an emotional tribute to her late mom, marking eight years since her passing. Posting a series of photos of the two together, alongside moments with their family and lighthearted snapshots of her mother, she gave fans a glimpse into their beautiful bond.
“Twenty years could never be enough.. but even forever wouldn’t have felt like it was. But how lucky I am to have had you for the time I did. I carry you with me, and I miss you every day. 8 years of celebrating your life, joy and laughter and I never will stop💜,” she touchingly captioned it.
In the comments, Graziadei lovingly shared, “Love you so much my love. Your mom would be so proud of how you carry yourself everyday. Always here with you 🦋❤️.”
In her conversation with Menounos, Anderson also shared how her mom “would’ve loved Joey.”
“My mom was always dancing and laughing, she was always just having the most fun in life… I feel a lot of peace with knowing that my mom would love Joey. My mom just loved any guy that treated me well you know, and Joey treats me so well,” she said.
She continued, “And he I feel like gets along with my family so well, which is nice. But yeah, I think that she would be happy, I think that she’d be excited. It does suck, though, I remember whenever I got engaged, I was so excited and then I was like, ‘Oh, I wish that my mom was able to experience this as well and see it.’ I know she is, but I wish I could hear her talking back to me.”
