Ariana Grande’s Latest Look is a Real Head-Turner
On April 26, Ariana Grande shared a series of new photos and debuted a head-turning look that took fans right back to the beginning of her singing career.
Grande shared her thoughts on bringing back her iconic long ponytail in the caption of an Instagram post. She wrote, “I love this long (not high) pony.”
The singer shared a slideshow of new photos to the social media site, including some selfies that showed off the return of the ponytail that sparked a million imitators. In a new image, Grande sported a slicked back hairstyle and a deep side part. In contrast to year prior when her hair was reddish brown, her latest hue is closer to her original dark brown hair color.
For years, Grande’s high ponytail was a signature look. She said in a 2018 interview with The Fader that her hairstyle has evolved through the years. At the time, she was unsure if she would ever fully ditch the now-iconic hairstyle.
“The pony has also gone through an evolution, and I’m proud of that,” she explained. “Old pony? I don’t know if she’s that girl. But new pony? I like her.”
She continued, “I mean, it’s like a Victoria’s Secret angel without angel wings. It’s still her without them, but when she’s with them it’s like, ‘Ohh, I get it, she’s an angel.'”

Her brother, Frankie Grande, had a one-word reply, “Wow!” Actress Rachel Zegler added, “My pretty girl!”
“LOVE all of these beautiful slices of life! And, LOOVVEE YOU!!!” penned a third Instagram follower. “The ponytail! The heels!” A fourth fan noted, “This makes me so happy.”
What is Ariana Grande’s Latest Project?
Ariana Grande kicks off her Eternal Sunshine Tour in June 2026. She will also perform a smaller series of shows that will feature songs from her 2020 album Positions.
But this may be the last time fans get to see her in concert for awhile. She told Amy Poehler during her “Good Hang” podcast, “I don’t want to say any definitive things. I do know that I’m very excited to do this small tour, but I think it might not happen again for a long, long, long, long time.”
“It’s going to be beautiful and I’m so grateful that — I think that’s why I’m doing it because I’m like, ‘One last hurrah.’ For now,” she said.
She told Variety in January 2026 that there is an upcoming project she is very excited about. However, she revealed few details to the publication.
“There is something else [happening] I’m very excited about down the line. I can’t say much yet, but it’s something that inspires me deeply,” she explained.
“It contains multitudes. I promise I’ll DM you the day it’s announced.”
Ariana Grande’s mini-tour begins June 6, 2026.
