“90 Day Fiancé” star Patrick Mendes is reportedly ending his marriage to wife Thais Ramone after four years of marriage.
According to divorce documents obtained by TMZ, Mendes filed for divorce this week and is seeking sole legal custody as well as primary physical custody of the couple’s 3-year-old daughter, Aleesi.
A Representative Released a Statement
The filing marks a major shift for the pair, who have openly shared parts of their relationship journey with fans through multiple reality television appearances.
A representative for Patrick and Thais addressed the separation in a statement shared with TMZ, encouraging patience and privacy during what appears to be a difficult personal situation.
“Out of respect for everyone involved, we believe it’s important not to jump to conclusions or contribute to speculation before all facts are properly clarified,” the statement read. “Domestic matters can be deeply emotional and complex, and we encourage compassion, privacy, and due process for all parties involved.”
The statement continued, “Our focus right now is simply ensuring that everyone is safe and supported. We appreciate the public’s understanding and ask for respect regarding their family and personal privacy during this time.”
What Is Being Requested in the Docs
Court documents reportedly state that Patrick is not requesting either child support or spousal support, despite claiming he earns significantly more than Ramone.
In the paperwork, Mendes reportedly lists his monthly income at approximately $10,000, while stating Ramone earns around $5,000 per month.
Instead of pursuing financial support, Patrick is reportedly seeking ownership of several shared assets, including a Honda Ridgeline, an $8,000 Fidelity 401(k), and even the couple’s Tempur-Pedic mattress.
The filing also claims that Aleesi has primarily been living with Patrick since May 6.
According to the documents, he listed a different home address than the one previously shared with Ramone, signaling the couple had already begun living separately.
While the exact reason for the split remains unclear, the court filing reportedly cites the couple as being “incompatible.”
The Two Are Set to Appear on ‘The Last Resort’
Fans of the TLC franchise may be especially surprised by the news considering Patrick and Thais were expected to appear in the upcoming season of “90 Day Fiancé: The Last Resort,” the relationship-focused spinoff centered around couples therapy.
The show’s synopsis had already hinted at mounting struggles between the pair.
“The past few years have been difficult for Patrick and Thais, marked by the birth of their daughter, a move to Las Vegas, a failed business, family tragedy, and health issues,” the description states. “As Patrick works to recover financially and emotionally, tensions rise over spending, support, and communication.”
Patrick and Thais first captured viewers’ attention on “90 Day Fiancé” before later appearing on “90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?,” where fans followed the ups and downs of their marriage after tying the knot in 2022.
More recently, Mendes appeared to publicly celebrate their relationship just months ago.
In February, he shared a sweet anniversary post on Instagram featuring a video of the pair dancing at their wedding reception.
“Even after these dance moves 😂 4 years later and we’re still in sync where it matters most,” he wrote. “Feliz aniversário, amor. Te amo para sempre 02/22/2022.”
Now, fans are left wondering what comes next for the former reality TV couple as their split unfolds publicly.
