TLC Show to Return After 10 Years

One of TLC’s most talked-about reality series is making a comeback after a decade-long hiatus.

“My Strange Addiction,” a show that focuses on people with unusual obsessive behaviors, gets a new season after ending its run in 2015.

“Over the years, ‘My Strange Addiction’ has built a passionate fan base that never stopped talking about it, sharing the most viral moments, and asking when we’d bring it back,” TLC’s SVP of Production and Development Alon Orstein said in a statement. “The new season delivers everything people love about the series. It’s bold, surprising, and completely unforgettable. TLC is proud to continue showcasing the stories that endlessly captivate audiences, with the real and extraordinary human experiences you truly cannot find anywhere else.”

Meet the Cast of ‘My Strange Addiction’

The first official trailer for the all-new “My Strange Addiction” gives fans a glimpse into the compelling compulsions and fascinating fixations of its participants.

Wendy, a woman from Florida, is addicted to eating raw meat. In the preview, she pulls a package of raw hamburger meat out of her purse and starts munching on it while getting her nails done.

“My name is Wendy and I’m addicted to eating raw meat,” she says in the introduction.

Wendy struggles to get acceptance from her fiancé’s family, getting looks of disgust at a cookout.

“I should be accepted,” Wendy tells the family. “It’s a little hard to accept someone who eats raw meat,” a woman replies.

Another woman has an addiction to eating glue sticks. In the trailer, her grandmother is concerned for her health.

“I don’t think it’s affecting me,” she dismisses it.

However, a doctor warns her that eating glue sticks could actually cause serious health risks.

“It can cause stomach cancer, it can cause brain problems, 50 percent of the people who have a blockage die,” the doctor explains.

Next, a man named Carlos eats live bugs every day, a habit he says alienates him from others.

“You are contaminating your body with active parasitic infections,” the doctor warns him.

“I don’t care if it’s bad for me,” Carlos replies.

What Else to Expect?

Other episodes feature Craig, a bodybuilder from Las Vegas whose obsession with a larger physique comes at the expense of his health. Kathryn, from Virginia, snorts all of her meals, while Anthony consumes several makeup products each week.

The series also explores Sarah and her romantic relationship with an AI chatbot boyfriend, as well as Kaylyn, who copes with childhood grief by eating grass daily.

Viewers will also meet Socratis, a veteran battling PTSD who has filled his home with more than a hundred snakes, and Tajah, whose thumb-sucking has caused skin damage and impacted her dating life.

The new season of “My Strange Addiction” premieres on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 9PM ET/PT on TLC.
