Sabrina Carpenter ‘Arrests’ Nicole Kidman at Nashville Concert [Video]

Sabrina Carpenter delivered one of her most memorable concert moments when she playfully “arrested” Nicole Kidman during her Nashville show on Tuesday night.

The 26-year-old singer spotted the Oscar-winning actress in the front row during her Short n’ Sweet tour stop at Bridgestone Arena and immediately knew she had found her next “arrest” target. Carpenter’s tradition of playfully detaining celebrities for being “too hot” has gone viral across social media.

Kidman, 58, appeared genuinely delighted as she became the latest A-lister to receive Carpenter’s pink fuzzy handcuffs treatment. The Australian actress was dressed casually in a red top, sporting her signature blonde bangs while positioned right at the barricade.

A Playful Celebrity Interaction

Carpenter opened the playful exchange by cleverly referencing Kidman’s iconic AMC Theatres advertisement. “We come to this arena for magic, right?” the singer declared from the stage, mimicking the line that has become synonymous with the actress.

As cameras focused on Kidman in the crowd, Carpenter expressed excitement. “Oh my goodness,” she said as thunderous applause filled the venue. “I expected to find love but not my soulmate.”

Following her established routine, Carpenter asked for Kidman’s name and location. When the actress revealed she lives in Nashville despite being originally from Australia, Carpenter seized the opportunity for another charming quip. “But you live in Nashville, so if things work out between us, then I guess I’m moving to Nashville,” she joked.

The interaction reached its peak when Carpenter made a playful reference to Kidman’s recent film work. “You’re so Babygirl, I don’t know what to do,” she said, referencing the actress’s 2024 R-rated thriller, before asking if Kidman would be her “Juno girl” for the evening.

Star-Studded Tradition Continues

Carpenter’s celebrity arrest tradition has become a highlight of her tour, with previous “suspects” including some of entertainment’s biggest names. Gigi Hadid, Spice Girls member Emma Bunton, and Stranger Things actor Joe Keery have all received the pink handcuff treatment during various tour stops.

The tradition reached new heights during Carpenter’s Madison Square Garden performance, where she arrested Anne Hathaway by asking, “Has anyone ever told you you look like a princess? I’m getting so flustered. Anne, can I arrest you for being the most perfect princess in the world?”

Kidman appeared completely comfortable with her lighthearted interaction, mouthing “come on” and laughing as the crowd cheered her participation.

As Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet tour approaches its conclusion on November 23rd at Los Angeles’ Crypto Arena, fans eagerly anticipate which celebrity might receive the final arrest of this memorable tour run.

  1. Like that wasn’t a orchestrated waste of time? Ms. Kidman was on the other side of a security wall from the fans no doubt placed there by security! And frankly if you’re over the age of 5 you don’t know who Sabrina Carpenter is! Sad that Nicole Kidman stopped so low as to do this since she is actually a very talented actress!
