When “Unsellable Houses” star Leslie Davis joyfully announced her engagement to Don Reidy, a carpenter she met on the set of HGTV’s hit series “Rock the Block” in 2023, fans were thrilled by their surprise love story, but also confused about her marital status.
Davis, however, had not updated fans via her show or social media about a change in her marriage to Jacob Davis, who appeared in early seasons of “Unsellable Houses” and with whom she shares three sons — Kyler, Cash, and Cole. On January 16, 2026 — two days after her happy announcement — Davis broke her silence about their split by sharing a blog post with fans, revealing that she and her ex divorced in 2022. Many fans are finding her honesty about the situation to be inspiring.
Leslie Davis Calls Her Ex a ‘Rockstar’ Dad to Their 3 Kids
Currently on a trip to Los Angeles with Reidy and her kids, Davis posted a photo from Universal Studios on January 16 and alerted fans that she’d just posted a “little life update” on her blog. Davis started her post by telling fans how thrilling it was to share her engagement earlier in the week, noting that she “couldn’t be more excited to finally share our story with you and celebrate this big life moment.”
However, she also acknowledged the avalanche of questions rolling in from fans about what happened with her first husband. Davis explained, “I have chosen to keep this part of my personal life private, a hard thing to do as someone with a show on HGTV.”
She continued, “You may know my ex-husband, Jacob, my kids’ rockstar of a dad, from previous seasons of Unsellable Houses; however, he has typically chosen to stay out of the public eye.”
“Jacob and I made the very tough but right decision for our family to part ways in 2022,” Davis conceded, “allowing us to create a happy, loving, and stable home to raise our three boys. Jacob and I will always share love for each other, just now in a new way, we have learned to become the best teammates, to lean on each other, to support each other’s new adventures, and always put our boys first.”
With so many changes going on in their lives, Davis said their “priority was to always protect our family,” and then quipped, “And seriously, who even announces a divorce anyway LOL!”
